The Emmaus Walk offers courses on Genesis to Revelation highlighting Messianic texts and Types of Christ. Aimed at ordinary people (such as ourselves!), to help reveal the core Messianic meaning of the Bible, which is the very reason for the existence of the authoritative Word of God, eternal and everlasting.
AN OPEN DOOR TO THE BIBLE AND UNDERSTANDING IT
WORLD'S GREATEST BOOK CAN BE UNDERSTOOD IF GIVEN A CHANCE: Beyond question, the greatest book in the world is the Bible, and the greatest Book is about the greatest Person, Jesus Christ (Yeshua the Anointed). If anyone misses the message of this book, he or she has missed the very Reason for human life and living on this planet. That being the absolute truth, billions of people, however, don't have a clew what this Book signifies. They probably all agree it is a religious book, that it tells about the world from a Jewish perspective, tells about people like Moses and David and finally Jesus, but still it couldn't have much of anything meaningful to say to them.
Friend, are you unable to read the Bible, that is, make sense of it? Or do some parts make sense, but others, such as Leviticus or Revelation or Romans seem totally bewildering? Are you desiring to go deeper, or reach a higher ground, spiritually, but your difficulty in comprehending scripture is holding you back? It may well be you need to consider that the Bible is quintessentially Messianic--that is, it exists to tell you about the Messiah and Savior, and virtually everything in the Bible points to Him. Imagine a skyscraper without its structural steel beams--it would immediately collapse, right? It won't matter what the building looks like or how much money was spent on it or what its history is or who designed it or anything else that defines the building--it is going down! The same with the Bible and the Messianic theme that supports the whole edifice of the scriptures. The scriptures mean nothing, ultimately, aside from the Messianic theme--for the Bible is really about religion or Jewish history or various famous Hebrews and Jews or festivals and religious laws or the temple or the tabernacle--all that together can't hold the edifice of the Bible up or make it stand. The Bible is also like a lantern. Jesus the Messiah is the light in the lantern--and the lantern goes completely dead and dark without Jesus lighting it from within. And then there is the tree--try making a tree with just branches and deleting the trunk--all you will get is a pile of branches on the ground! With this understanding, you are on your way to unlocking the scriptures and opening the door to Yeshua--for the Bible is, at the living core, a living Person, Jesus (Yeshua), who delights in His Name, the Word (John 1:1: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

GRATITUDE TO GOD CENTER:
1. The Ten Comandments Day Commission supporters have introduced Resolution HR 686 which will bring back the Ten Commandments into public schools and society at large, after being outlawed by the runaway, liberal Supreme Court in 1960s. It has taken over forty years to bring this resolution forward to Congress to pass (and pass, it will, if it will hearken to the will of the American People, which according to numerous polls and surveys is overwhelmingly in favor of the Ten Commandments).
2. Is the destroying tusanami-like tide of secular humanism turning back at last in this country? President George Bush vetoed the Hate Crimes bill that was just passed by Congress. This infamous bill would have made it a crime to preach the Bible passages against homosexuality and also punish the pastors doing such with imprisonment. This bill was Senator Ed Kennedy's pet project, and it went down in flames, thanks to the groundswell of opposition raised by the Ten Commandments Resolution (HR 686) who were in Washington the day the Hate Crimes bill passed. They made it known so clearly, with over 300,000 signatures for the Ten Commandments Re-introduction Resolution, that the President promptly vetoed the the Hate Crimes bill!
Observance of the Ten Commandments in our documents, government, courts, schools, businesses, sports, entertainment, churches, and in lives, made America the greatest nation on earth. Foreign cultural experts came to find out the secret of America's greatness as far back as the 1800s and found that it was the observance of God, and the proclamation of righteousness (the Ten Commandments) from the pulpits of America's churches, that made America the ascendant star among the nations. We cast down the Ten Commandments, and we have fallen in every category of human life since that fatal decision by the U.S. Supreme Court in the mid 1960s. Congress has what is called a record of this decline, called "The Congressional Review," which categorizes and compiles statistics for every year, and so there is a record available to everyone how we declined catastrophically in every category from the year the Ten Commandments were ruled out of the public schools by the U.S. Supreme Court. After about 47 years of compounded disaster, it is high time to reverse that ruling and reaffirm the Ten Commandments in public life and public institutions in America.

My mother and I have signed it, and we will offer it to others in the family and also our friends to sign. The only problem is--the enemy is not always clearly perceived, and sometimes the enemy is not perceived at all because he comes like a wolf in lamb's fleece! In confusing times like these--when we have two dire, very aggressive enemies of Christianity--secular humanism and Islam--arrayed and even in league together against us, we can look like intolerant, bigoted, backward people who are irrelevant and even retrogressive socially, without any redeeming value, or we can step out into the arena of public opinion with hostile crowds watching and eager to see us torn apart by wild beasts and take what comes to a steadfast, unwavering saint and witness of God and His truth. What is our choice going to be, fellow Christians?
We may find ourselves in the dilemma faced by Dietrich Bonhoeffer in the early 1930s, just at the onset of the rise of Hitler to power. He had the choice set before him of going against the Church of his today and opposing a seeming savior of Germany or opposing him as a false Christ and incurring all the wrath of the state and the appearance of being a traitor to the Fatherland. We know his decision, and he died by being hung for it in a prison camp. His last words were that it was the end--yet for him it was the beginning.
Make no mistake about it--we Christians are in a struggle for our very existence. If we are aware of the peril we are in as Christians and traditionalist Americans, we see that our only rock of refuge is Christ alone--there is none other left in this society since radical leftist/social humanist and activist courts and judges began snatching away our heritage and the Constitutional basis of our society and substituted its dictatorship of relativism for what the Forefathers of this nation founded.
We as conservatives, evangelicals, Bible-believers, traditionalists--both Christians and Jews, Protestants and Catholics, face a most bewildering political scene. How can we vote our consciences when the candidates are so mixed in with the world and its anti-Christian secular humanist values. I hear Christians call in to conservative Talk Radio shows and express this bewilderment. How about you? As yet no candidate that stands a chance to win has expressed clear views that I can willingly endorse--they are sending mixed messages, are they not? We may face some hard choices this coming '08 election, or stay away from the polls altogether, avoiding the whole issue. I am afraid this will happen: that Christians will not vote, since everything is such a muddle. It will be interesting to see what God does, as we call to him in prayer--for prayer is our only genuine option that promises to bring good.
It isn't a rosy future we face. We may not see good in the coming election results, as Hillary Clinton is almost guaranteed to win and become our next President. No matter that she has no real record and no real achievements, she has been picked, and she is the chief runner in the race because she expresses the secular humanist values that are championed by the most powerful voting blocs and monied special interest groups in this country. By all means vote for her, if what she stands for agrees with your conscience and Christian beliefs--but try to square her beliefs with the Bible's teachings--you might have trouble doing that! I note that many candidates presently feign faith in God, while previously they did not bother. But we know them by their records and what they have voted for in the past--and that defines them, not their statements about their "faith". We as Christians should not be misled by leaders who do not "walk the talk." Unfortunately, evangelical Christians can make major mistakes if we are not careful and exercise discernment. Evangelicals voted for Hitler--though Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a courageous leader of evangelicals in Germany, was not one! Evangelicals sat in churches, singing hymns, while cattle cars rattled by on train tracks, blending the sounds of the screams of Jews with their singing! May this not happen to us--either to sit in the pews as the people of God are transported to death camps or to be the people in the cattle cars being taken to our deaths!

He believes in a miracle-working, Almighty God who can turn this nation around, even when it seems we are going over the cliff to our doom. He has a revival too for us, a complete cleansing for this nation from all its sin and guilt--if we will only pray through until we see it happening. Now is the time to pray and seek God--now is the time.

I have heard Talk Radio hosts, one after the other, laugh at the notion that President Bush is causing the bad weather and about every other disaster you can name--even Global Warming! No, it really happened! God has not changed since Elijah's time. God still can punish a nation by using the weather, which is always in his control. A friend of Christian activist and pastor, Dietrich Bonhoeffer in the Nazi era, Pastor and former resister of the Nazis Martin Niemoller (1892-1984) is famed for not only his active part with the Christian resistance in Germany against Hitler but these words:
"First, they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out becdause I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews,a nd I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me."
Regarding activism for Biblical principles and morality, Proverbs 28 states: 1. "The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righeous are bold as a lion.
2. Because of the transgression of a land, many are its princes, but by a man of understanding and knowledge right will be prolonged.
3. A poor man who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain which leaves no food.
4. Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but such as keep the law contend with them.
5. Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand all.
6. Better is the poor who walks in his integrity than one perverse in his ways, though he be rich."
Pastor Holick, of Spirit One Christian Church, Wichita, Kansas, is at this printing being persecuted by the IRS, the favorite, punitive arm of secular humanists in the Federal Government who want to silence all dissenting evangelicals and Christians in America if they can possibly do it by intimidation and audits and announcing their investigations to the press (blackening the reputation of the church in the public eye) and horribly expensive lawsuits. Pastor Holick will not stand down passively against this runaway secular humanist Federal Government we have--but is standing up for his First Amendment, Free Speech rights to speak out on political issues as he sees fit and according to his Christian beliefs and his conscience. Politicians reserve the right to speak for their secular humanism--why is it criminal for a Christian, particularly a pastor, to speak for his? Politicians and government departments receive bribes too--which is something a pastor, being salaried, does not do. Somehow these bribed, earmarking, corrupt secular humanist politicians think they have a greater right to speak out as they please than a pastor to his church. Now Pastor Holick is threatened with an IRS audit [which is no surprise, as the IRS has targeted numerous churches and ministries in the past for exercising free speech) for speaking out what he believes is right or wrong in political issues and races. He has announced he will not comply with this audit or furnish his records.
They will threaten him, if they have not already done so, with withdrawal of the church's tax exemption--that is the punitive means they have to ruin the church and its ministries. It usually cows a church into subservience and silence, but this Kansas pastor is not going to be cowed. Please pray for him, email support to him, and email your concern about this to your legislators. Why should being a pastor somehow cancel his First Amendment rights. A law says so? What is it. The First Amendment, the First Article of the Bill of Rights, supports Pastor Holick, not any such law or any such government that demands this pastor be muzzled and gagged regarding politics. If our Founding Fathers thought there was no conflict of interest by taking an active part in the War of Independence, then why should it be different now. Pastors ought to take an active role, politically. They did in the War of Independence and in the Consitutional conventions, and they ought to take an active role now--and it is just as needed today as it was then. Hoorah for Pastor Holick! We need to reaffirm our basic religious rights as Christians. Why should pastors be muzzled and gagged by laws that overturn the First Amendment and the First Article of the Bill of Rights. This Amendment and Article has been misused to apply to strip club dancers--but when pastors speak out politically, somehow our government sees that as a crime and moves to silence patriotic, god-fearing pastors like Pastor Holick while winking the eye at strippers. This is where we are, folks. Let us not get used to it! Let us rise up, and take back our country, while we still have a God who will listen to our pleas for help.
How churches, pastors, and indivdual believers choose to respond to the threat of Government crack-downs on free speech will decide in part what camp they stand on: the Anti-Christ's or Christ's. Many churches are already caving in to the Anti-Christ, even while conducting evangelism to save souls for Jesus. They are deceived churches, led by deceived shepherds! You must discern them now, for they are drawing millions of evangelicals and other Christians into the fold of the Anti-Christ even before his appearance on the world's stage as chief political leader and also religious pontiff. Neo-evangelism, a movement that is taking hold on many major churches and ministries, may be an attempt to conform the church to the worldly powers and politically correct agenda of secular humanism. These churches and their leaders do not want to be persecuted and sacrifice and pay a price for the unadulterated Gospel of Jesus Christ. They will preach, oftentimes, a solipsistic me-centered, motivational, positivist, success-directed, materialistic gospel instead. It is centered on people--and their needs. Madison Avenue advertizing and Psychology are also a big part, but they will sweeten this witches' brew with all kinds of wonderful programs for kids, the elderly, shut-ins, singles, teens, the incarcerated, persons with addictions and drugs, marriage enhancement--all good things, which the world can do, without the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Here is the one such group of speakers at a recent "leadership conference." Please note that Jimmy Carter and Colin Powell (Carter revealing that he is an anti-Semite and supporter of terrorism and receiving funds from terroristic groups, and Powell has gone on record as a supporter of abortion) are on the roster of speakers! Is this not a developed apostate church? It puts Jesus and an Anti-Semite together, or seeks to, and an abortionist who does not support the sanctity of life. Jesus cannot stand together with such unrighteous men--yet they speak to the churches today, teaching Christians how to be "leaders" such as themselves. God help us!
This kind of church ministry is all based on sorcery, the psychical manipulation of human beings for the agenda of Satan who wants to control all human society for his own God-defying ends. Yes, Christ's kingdom is not of this world--but that is not His will--as what will happen to the interpretation of his declaration to Herod, a secular authority in Jerusalem, when Christ returns to earth to reclaim Jerusalem as his capital of a kingdom that will hold dominion over the entire earth? Obviously, we need to rethink Christ's words on this question. Yes, He was making clear that He was not another earthly power or kingdom authority of the earthly kind--for his kingdom is heavenly--yet at the same time it is Christ's express will that this heavenly kingdom over which He presides become the reigning kindgdom of this whole earth. Did He not pray, "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven"?
Christ was very much committed to establishing His kingdom on this earth--and it is His Father's heavenly kingdom in origin, not earthly in any respect, except that it will soon be established completely on the earth. Look for it! It will come! The 1,000 Year, Millennial Reign of Christ will be the establishment of Christ's kingdom on earth and over the earth. Nothing can stop it! But each of us has a part to play in bringing it to pass--this privilege Jesus our Savior has given us his saints. Let us not bury this privilege and opportunity and responsibility like the foolish servant buried his master's talent in the ground. Christ will someday hold us responsible for what we did with this privilege to work for the establishment of his kingdom on earth. The foolish servant was cast out into darkness, but we can enter the glorious light of Christ's kingdom here on earth--it is our choice and opportunity.
Bill after bill of Hate Crimes legislation (tacked on to other bills, in late night sleight of hand maneuvers, such as Edward Kennedy's) is constantly being pushed forward by Democrats in the state legislatures and even in Congress (this is very frightening, anti-free speech stuff, inducing many pastors to cave in and become silent on politically sensitive issues and also not to claim Christ as the only way to heaven, the only way to be saved, as that is politically incorrect, making an absolute in a secular humanist society that condemns absolutes of any kind). A picture is worth a thousand words! The following satellite image of Israel and Gaza is offered by Google, and it shows the amount of development (farms, greenhouses, orchards, gardens, businesses, resorts) in Israel as contrasted with the desert-like, barren but highly populated wilderness of Gaza--a tract of land that looks like a cocked gun pointed at Tel Aviv and the heart of Israel.
Gaza represents centuries of Islamic, or Muslim Arab occupation and deprivation. This area was formerly Philistia, and the ancient heathen Philistines (despite their idolatry) made it very productive and green and rich--something it certainly is not today! But the Philistines were defeated finally by David and absorbed. Then came Mohammed's Muslim hordes in the 7th century, whose armies conquered the area which was ruled by the Christian emperors of Byzantium--this started the catastrophic decline of "Palestine," or Judaea and Samaria. Overgrazed, underpopulated, no trading going on to speak of, no new building, once lush vineyards and fields gone to thistles and barren, grassless state, and malarial swamps taking over the low-lying valleys, the land was ruined and supported few Arabs, and those who remained were impoverished, ruled and overtazed by far-off, sensualistic, luxury-craving shieks, sultans, and caliphs of Muslim kingdoms and empires. The whole land was reduced to beggary and not worth a camel's hoof. As late as the 20th century, it was barren--look at the pictures taken from travellers from the West--Jerusalem was a backwater, run-down, poverty-stricken town, of no religious or strategic importance, and certainly not a good place to live! This whole wretched area was included in "Syria," even up to the present modern era, when the Ottoman Turkish empire ruled the area. World War I ended with the breakup of that backward, ramshackle, impoverished empire, and now the area of Israel/Palestine was freed, under Britain with a mandate from the United Nations, to chart a new course.
Who wanted the area? It was in a barren state, uninhabitable for the most part. But Jews were there already, and more wanted to resettle there from Europe, and Baron Rothschild (A British Jew and head of a famous banking family based in London and Vienna) contributed funds to the legal Jewish immigrants and the local Arabs eagerly sold their barren, good-for-nothing fields and rundown farms and vineyards to the "crazy" Jews, who then turned them into productive enterprises with great sacrifice and hard work and Jewish smarts. The desert bloomed once again! Suddenly, the Arabs cried "foul" and wanted the land back, without paying for it! Now they seek to take it by force (with their own weapons, with terrorism, and by United Nations' and U.S. pressure on Israel to give up the land).
Once Israel looked like wretched Gaza looks even today, so here is visual proof that Judaism and the Israelis are vastly superior in how they managed the land and its resources. God blesses them! What you see on the Muslim Arab side of the border is generational sociopathy and depression and apathy, with no progress whatsoever in Gaza and the West Bank. This is the direct result of Islam, not the fault of the people themselves, who do not know any better and have been ruled over for many centuries by despots and tyrants, mostly from other Muslim Arab countries and empires. If Israel ruled this area again, it would bloom--the people would progress and thrive--but now, even on the dole by Western democracies to the tune of billions of dollars, it sinks lower and lower into terrorism and unproductivity. It is called "Hamastan," by Brigitte Gabriel, for it serves as the organizing and military operations base for launching terror strikes against Israel. If Gaza prevails, all Israel will be reduced to looking like Gaza looks. Is that what the world wants? Would the Arabs be better off? Is that what the United Nations and Europe want? Apparently! They so hate Israel for its success that they will do anything to support a Muslim dictatorship that oppresses the people of Gaza and the West Bank and uses them as cannon fodder for its terrorist machine. This is madness, and Christ will come, throw out the wicked rulers of Gaza and the West Bank for all time to come, and bring a golden age of happiness, peace, productivity, and true righteousness for both Arab and Jew. Islam will be overthrown, in other words, and the people of Gaza and the West Bank will be set free to worship Jesus the Son of God, not Allah and Mohammed who have done nothing but drag these people down since the 7th century.

We have to say here that we do not support Pat Robertson's espousal of Rudy Guliani and his bid for the presidency, due to the former NY mayor's official, long-standing support of abortion. I cannot overlook this, despite some favorable parts of his politics that appeal to conservatives. Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius (a secular humanist/Democrat) has come under a withering fire of public exposure (I can hear secular humanist fat sizzling in the pan) by Bill O'Reilly on the Factor on FOX News for supporting Dr. Tiller, the neo-Nazi, abortionist doctor in Wichita who does late term partial birth abortions for 5 grand a pop. The Kansas legislature passed a law that would prevent him from doing this, but the Governor has stopped it from being enforced. I do not have time to find out about this bill and how she dealt it a death blow, but the practice of partial birth abortion is supposed to be banned in this country and Dr. Tiller should have been able (along with the Governor) to see how the wind is blowing in this country, and particularly in Kansas, a middle-road, traditional value-defending kind of state. How Sebelius became governor of a traditionalist red state like Kansas, I have no idea, but red states like South Dakota and North Dakota vote for liberals too, so there she is--acting just like an flaming liberal abortionist and secular humanist would act, despite her Doris Day, "girl next door" looks. No more heinous crime against humanity can be imagined than partial birth abortion. Most all doctors recognize it as heinous and refused to perform it, but Dr. Tiller is obviously in this grisly business for the big bucks and the long haul. Only a steam roller of public opinion in protest will be able to stop him and the Governor who is taking his side.
Strongholds of death have taken up residence in America, and the expression of these is the continued death culture which has brought about the cold blooded murder of forty million human beings through abortion. We must seek out and destroy these strongholds! We can do it--as the Church has been given the power and authority in Jesus's All-Powerful Name. In our individual lives, sin also creates fortresses or strongholds of the Devil that continue to influence and hold us in bondage long after we have repented of those sins and even stopping doing them. They may be invisible and unknown to us, but they still exist! They can be discovered and brought to light and exposed and thrown out, however. That is the good news! The individuals mentioned here are not targets of this site, but they are featured to warn us. The Bible says to test all things--and test the prophets too. We must not be gullible, for many false teachings and false Christs and false teachers are going about as wolves in the churches.
One way that falsehood is made palatable is to add some "sugar" which will make it taste less poisonous and toxic than it really is. You have to sweeten the medicine to make it go down!--that was the advice of Julie Andrews in the hit musical and film, "Mary Poppins." Remember it? It is a timeless truism: Heresy would not gain any followers if it were not packaged ("sweetened") right. Falsehood must be dressed up, or its inner ugliness will turn people off immediately. There is hardly anyone today so winsome as this young man as he expounds another gospel than the one Jesus Christ, Paul and the other apostles, lived and preached. I have listened to him, amazed at how charmingly he can present his case for getting the best parking spot in the lot. He truly knows how to get "favor" from God. Only what God is Joel Osteen's. Picking attractive fruit from the divinely forbidden tree is still highly popular and lucrative, thanks to television's mass appeal to Americans. Another winsome heretic is the TV do-gooder, which in this case is Dr. Phil. He is much beloved, since he does so much good for mixed up Americans who do not know their head from their foot because they have been taught nothing about God and morality from the crib to their adult stage. Dr. Phil comes to the rescue with his watered down Christian morality and his team of trained psycho-manipulators. There is no doubt he does good--temporarily (even with his bleeping expletives, for he can swear like any longshoreman, and does!). Temporarily, these wretched cases of maladjusted American lowlife get straightened out--but without the Gospel, without regeneration in Christ, without God's Spirit, without Salvation, without the Bible. How long will the reformation last--only this life, at best. That is how only as long as it can last. They are still hell-bound. They are now thinking that their lives are "on track," when they are not. Yes, they are on a track, but the track goes downward, in the end, not upward. Dr. Phil needs to sell cars or used cars maybe--as he has truly bungled the basic job of any Christian, to be a witness of salvation in Christ and a promoter of the saving Gospel. His entertaining psychoanalytical method mixed with some rudimentary Christian morality and enough bleeps to make an army barracks sink into shocked silence does not substitute for the real Jesus. You can reform a tiger, and even bleach out his stripes, but he is still, at heart, a tiger. It is that simple. Without Christ at our heart, we are brute beasts, unregenerate, carnal, hell-bound, and depraved--no matter how cleaned up, decent, moralistic, and law-abiding we may appear on the surface. Please make this known, Dr. Phil. Then I will start viewing you as a man acting in good faith and not just for profit and fame or whatever it is that is that is your god and your motivation for being a male Oprah.

You decide if this is prophetic. In the early 1970s Gordon Lindsay published this in his book, "The 1970's in the Light of Prophecy":
"As a further clue to the way the wind is blowing, on May 6, 1968, the United Methodist Church removed a clause from its ministers' code, which prohibits smoking and drinking. The evidence is that the coming super-church will be a part of Babylon the Harlot of Revelation 17." (page 26).
Since then, just a year or so ago, a United Methodist church in Washington State voted to disannul its own church charter so that a lesbian (practicing) minister could remain in active ministry in the church as a pastor! We all watched this in absolute horror and amazement on TV as it unfolded. This was top news at the time. Since then lesbians have been appointed to being hosts of special Methodist spiritual retreats, and when someone objected, she was called hateful and homophobic. This is the evidence--is it not?--of a super-church being developed that will be a part of the Babylonian church that Gordon Lindsay and John the Apostle prophesied about would take dominion in the Latter Times (particularly after the Rapture). If there is such a strong evidence now of this super-church--what will it be like in a few years time? This is a clear call, for all those who uphold the truth of the Bible and righteousness and love Jesus Christ, to come out of such churches as this one lest they be contaminated and become servants of the coming Anti-Christ.

There are many personal prayer needs, which we all have; but we live in a country where there are major prayer needs we cannot ignore without doing them an injustice, I believe. Why not pray for the miners trapped in the mine that we are all hearing about on the news? Why not pray for the families involved? It will just take minute of our time. One prayer can make a big difference. The mine operators seems to be giving up its efforts, after the loss of three search and rescue people trying to reach the trapped miners. Lord, have mercy on all involved.

Does he really care for the planet, when he is pouring so much carbon emissions from his jet engines into the atmosphere? He also has a number of palatial homes, one setting upon a mine which earns him $30,000 a year in rent! Imagine the light and heat bills, keeping all those homes going, and the upkeep on them! If he would sell off most of it, and then give the money to orphanages and the programs to dig wells for fresh drinking water in the village of Africa, India, and Asia, and subsidize AIDS drugs in Africa, then I would listen to him. Most English literature teachers today have done their best to kill English literature. For most students in college it is a crashing bore, full of Diversity, Multiculturalism, Genderism, Environmental Concerns, and all the rest of the Secular Humanist agenda. They are rewriting English Lit, in other words--destroying it root and branch. English literature is the most splendid body of literature on earth--but you would never know it, listening to present teachers of English Lit. But let's look at the root, as it really was, not as it is now made to look today to be politically correct.
There would be no English literature today worth mentioning unless Christians (yes, Christians!) started writing early on, as they did thousands of years ago, and also right at the beginning of British history. The greatest writers in English literature have been, by and large, Christians.

He is a righteous and holy God, and cleansed the Temple in Jerusalem twice, at the beginning of his 3-year public ministry, and then at the close of it just before his arrest, trial, and crucifixion. We pray that Jesus the Temple-Cleanser will come and cleanse our temples, and our churches, and this nation as well! Bood from murdered innocents runs from coast to coast, and the whole land is pollut ed with vice, corruption, and violence. We need a cleansing, Lord! Please come and save us!

Well, CAIR is now sending out its brown shirts to intimidate American in their homes at night, while running spin campaigns publicizing that they are making friendly calls to gain more understanding from fellow Americans concerning Islam. Right! Read about this in Brigitte Gabriel's remarks about "Islamophobia" when you go to her website. Just type in her name into SEARCH or GOOGLE. She will instantly come up, as she is a primary authority on Islam in America.
2. Governor Sebelius of Kansas and Dr. Diller--quite a pair of dunces!
3. Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly (widely popular Talk Radio show hosts, conservative and traditionalist, respectively). Michael Savage, who is Number 3 in popularity, has recently been bitterly attacked by leftist-run San Francisco (his native city which ought to be proud of him) and the illegal immigrant lobby that has no business operating in this country. This brave and truthful Talk Radio host who has day after day of broadcasts championed U.S. borders' integrity against the Whitehouse's plan to dissolve our borders and national sovereignty according to a globalist vision shared by the elites of this nation, has proven the above two to be dunces (not because of anything he said or did, but because of their indifference and letting him go it alone). Savage, along with Laura Ingraham who spoke for him in this case, is one of the few remaining, credible voices of conservatism. Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly, on the other hand, in choosing not to stand with Michael Savage, showed that they do not know that someday there will be a knock on their doors too [see Niemoller quote about the consequences of not standing for innocent people when they are being attacked and need support). This certainly is a lesson to us evangelicals, Christians, and traditionalists and Orthodox Jews (not to mentijon Mormons!). The fascisti of secular humanism and Islam will be coming to our doors soon, if Hillary Clinton, Edward Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, Adam Smith, Maria Cantwell, and Patty Murray and CAIR have their way--so let us stand when any of us are attacked by the secular humanists and their henchmen in their supporting brown shirted lobbies and activist groups! If we fail in this, we cannot complain when we are dragged out of our houses by Hate Crimes task forces (like the students of Mao's counter-revolutionaries during the purges of his bloody reign).

I have often referred to Christian History Magazine on this page lately, and it is highly recommended to you to subscribe to as soon as you can. This magazine affords very readible articles done by historians about major evangelical figures, such as Finney, Wesley, Luther, Whitehead, Moody, and many, many others. They are in a much easier format than a weighty book--yet contain as much as books, only more condensed, I would suggest, because there is less "padding" or repetition. A magazine, because of limited pages, must necessarily be more concise and to the point, but a book can be padded to reach a certain length thought more publishable or impressive.
Please do your Bible scholarship a favor and give yourself this boost, which is a big one, by subscribing. I hope to order a whole series of these already printed magazines on all the major evangelists, which is over for less than $100 as long as the supply lasts.

A word from the Psalms:
DENOMINATIONIALISM IS NOT OF GOD: This word comes from a Messianic prophecy, but it applies not only to Christ on the Cross but to something we are doing today as a common, even a universal practice of denominationalism that most people seem to think is right and proper, though Christ never spoke of having a divided Body or a divided Church.
DENOMINATIONALISM is, spiritually, not of God-- "They divide my garments"--Jesus the Messiah, speaking through the prophetic, Messianic scripture, Psalm 22:18. This speaks first of the Romans dividing Christ's garments, casting lots for them, beneath the Cross as Jesus died for their sins and the sins of the whole world. But we are dividing Christ's garments even today, are we not? We have denominationalism, which is the same thing as what the Roman soldiers did--they divided the things of Christ. Perhaps our sin is worse--dividing up clothes is not as bad as dividing up Christ's body, the Body of Christ which is the church. We need, at this late date, to cease from this sin of division and holding to private enclaves within church boundaries. Rather, we need to come out from these self-imposed, manmade barriers and fellowship and share and build up the Body of Christ everywhere, regardless of the denomination. Jesus was not a denominationalist. He was not a divided Savior. Yet we have divided up Christ, this denomination taking one part and emphasizing it, and another denomination taking yet another part and emphasizing that. To the world's eye this is ridiculous and strange and they want nothing to do with such a divided church. When we forget all these man-made divisions and come together, truly in Spirit, as one Body, one Church, and one Communion, the world will take us seriously. Christ's prayer just before He was arrested and went to the Cross was that we all be one even as He and the Father are one. This prayer has not been fulfilled! But we must quite standing in the way and preventing its fulfilment and enter into the true church, which is not divided. There are no Presbyterians or Baptists or Lutherans or Assemby of Godders in heaven. There are only saved, redeemed children of God. The former affiliations will mean absolutely nothing in heaven! Nothing! Paul said that when he was a man he had put away childish things. Let us put away childish things--these man-made barriers and divisions that keep us apart--and enter into the unity of the Man, Jesus Christ. He is not divided, but we Christians are! We need to stop it being divided and aiding and abetting division in the Body of Christ. When you look out into your church at a service, do you see primarily one color? That should tell you something is wrong, very wrong. Christ is not divided--one foot yellow, one hand white, one arm brown, and so on. He is the color of God--which is to say, no color at all. We divided the Body of Christ by color, by having Korean churches, black churches, white churches, and so on. This must stop, unless there is absolutely no diversity of ethnicity in your area--a hard thing to believe in today's America. But we divide up on many other grounds--pet doctrines, church history, social status, education, money--all sorts of things. It is time to end the division of Christ's body.
