Abundant Grace from God is still available to us in America, if we repent now without delay and change our ways back to godliness. But if we refuse and continue on the present road, scripture offers no hope for restoration and happiness. As for those who refuse God in America and seek to pervert the chidren with their vain and wicked philosophies of secularism, moral relativism, even Islamic teaching, judgment is coming soon for all of them, no matter how much good they think they are doing. I don't know when I didn't write poetry. However young I started, I have kept writing it all my life--"I am a poet and I know it." If I could live by my poetry, that is what I would love most to do--but of course that is not possible in this society and time (unless I can think of topics that would really sell, such as the Jonathan Livingstone Seagull book. I don't have the ability to do that well at it, or don't have the confidence to think I could in order to push it on publishers. Here is one of my latest pieces:

GRATITUDE TO GOD CENTER:

I thank God for religious liberty in America, though after 250 years since our nation's official founding it is fast disappearing here, under the onslaught of the false, unConstitutional, so-called "Doctrine of Separation of Church and State" promoters aided by the ACLU and activist judges who are atheists (and "Freedom from Religion," an un-American organization). Religious liberty is fast disappearing in all Western societies as well (thanks to moral relativism and aggressive humanism/secularism, and already doesn't exist in all the Islamic societies and countries. For religious liberty our nation's founders, among them the Pilgrims (Puritans) that settled their colony at Plymouth, Cape Cod, fled from England which was persecuting them with the State Church of England's authority controlling government policy toward "dissenters" or non-Church of England believers in Jesus Christ.

Do we know who these Pilgrims ("Separatists") were? They came from Scrooby, a small town and agrarian community on the east coast of England, arriving at Plymouth in the waning days of 1620 when King James ruled Britain. High Society and conventional thinking may despise small beginnings, but the Scrooby Separatists, in their faithfulness and devotion to God, birthed the greatest nation on earth where religious freedom has flourished for over two centuries while the rest of the world continued under tyranny. The pendulum has swung back--and the Scrooby Separatists are again despised by the governing elites, which now favor tyranny and the end of religious freedom. But the record stands, despite the secularists' revising of public school textbooks to stamp a crass materialistic motive on these Godfearing Pilgrims, while making no mention of the religious aspiration that primarily founded America:

Christmas isn't just one day or two a year, it is the entire year we celebrate the Birth of Christ, along with his life and death and resurrection! A Christmas letter was sent to my mother by a college classmate of mine, Trygg Heintz. I thank God for a single vote, which I just cast for the godly candidates who love America and want to maintain her Constitutional liberties for all of us, no matter what color, race, or religion (so unlike the Obama administration which is Marxist and works feverishly to take away all our Constitutional liberties). There were some godly candidates, or moral candidates who love our Consitution, love America, and love freedom under law. They do not predominate, but there are some still, even in these corrupt and dismal days when all hopes for a free America seem to be dashed. I do not mind what happens on Nov. 2. I mind what God does or does not do on our behalf, in answer to our prayers! Thank God, He still hears and answers the prayers and pleas of His people. He promised to never forsake or abandon us to the enemy, and if we turn the enemy over to him to deal with rather than try to fight them alone, He will deal with them! He is Almighty. Onlly He can defeat them, whereas we might only be able to push them back a bit in their timetable on Nov. 2 with the voting in of as many Constitution-supporting candidates as possible.

It is amazing to me the treasures that I can find at grocery store booksales (even at 5:30 in the morning just after I got off from work), that are done to raise money for various local charities, but which can contain some wonderful Christian books at really bargain prices. I paid $1 for this one, and it is a big volume, the Missions World Book of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, telling the story of the missionary Alliance's work throughout the world in dozens of countries. It is the story brought up to the 1980s from the founding of the Alliance and even details the efforts previous to the Alliance as well as the history of missionism, and the cultures of the various nations and peoples concerned. What a resource! I am learning so much from this book I did not know before. You could too, if you had such a book. You get all you need between these two covers of this 412 page, highly illustrated book. It is not full of theology either. It tells you a story, and is very, very readable. Robert L. Niklaus is the author. Perhaps the Alliance has published a book of this kind since the edition I have, but this one is still excellent, and I am so glad to have it. So take a tip, don't pass by book sales like the one I described, you never know what God may have there for you amongst all the time-killing "New York Times Bestseller" crud you find fellow Americans are reading today (it is unbelievable stuff, and isn't even worth the $1 a book!). Blow the chaff away, and take the golden wheat! You won't regret it.

I don't have this following book yet, but will make every attempt to get it. It is available now. I try to get used copies if I can--so much cheaper! Actually, the books don't look used, they were just over-stocked, and are categorized as used. You might look for it at the library too. This goes wonderfully along with our previous attempts to bring you these outstanding Christians, whom we must not forget, as their lives and writings speak most powerfully to us today if we have ears to listen to Bible based saints and preachers, that is.

Despite the rather cartoonish artwork, this is a scholarly work, with wonderful sights line after line! We will get an excerpt for you here soon, as this would be a wonderful book for you to acquire, if there is a copy somewhere, as it was printed in 1969 or so.

Other scriptures speak of various trees that would spring forth again in the restored land, as a visible sign that God was gathering his people back to the land and restoring Israel, not only in the natural sense but in the spiritual sense. If Israel remained as desolate as it was at the turn of the previous century (when Mark Twain on tour observed there wasn't a tree or shrub for miles and miles to be seen!), what would be the sign that Israel was brought forth by God as a fulfilment of his scriptures?

Until then, Chinese believers will suffer greatly, just as they are doing right now, this very hour. What can we do? Neither Moslem or Jew will get to heaven by their own merit, good works, and religion (which, in the case of Jews, can be atheism, as large numbers of Jews are atheists). Egypt was always Moslem, and before that it was pagan? Wrong! It was Christian, as this statuette shows an indigenous Egyptian girl holding a cross, and it dates from the 3rd Century AD. The Moslems came over four hundreds years later! Christianity was already established in Egypt by that time for 700 years! The original Egyptian Christians have never left the country either. They were made third class citizens, persecuted bitterly, many of them killed, and treated with contempt, suspicion and outright cruelty, but they hung on to their country, willing to die for Christ. Millions no doubt died for Christ too, hacked to death, tortured, raped, robbed, enslaves (the usual Moslem treatment of conquered populations). They are called Coptics. Egyptian Christians now account for at least 10% of the population, so that gives them something like 7 million or more, probably ten, and possibly higher. Now the Coptic Christianity is extremely formal and liturgy-bound (and to exist in Moslem society they have chosen not to "proselytize" or public share their faith to Moslems), but it still has Bible-believing Christians, and some priests even know how to minister in the power of the Holy Spirit, with the gifts of the Spirit! They may not publicly share the faith, but the Moslems come to them! One such, a frantic Moslem mother who loved her suffering son dearly, went to a Christian Copic church for healing. A Coptic priest was shown on TBN ministering like a classic Pentecostal, only he had long robes and wielded a heavy, ornate cross like a nightstick, whacking the devil with it, as he ministered to a 12 year old Moslem boy and right before our eyes the boy received healing for a blind eye he had had for 2 years! His Moslem mother had tried every doctor and everything Islam had, and pleaded with every imam she could get to listen, but they couldn't heal her son. So she went to a Christian church (Coptic) with her desperate plea, saying she believed God could heal her son. Well, God likes that kind of faith, and she asked the right kind of priest to pray for her son, one who truly knew God and the power of Christ, and he was healed! It was glorious. The mother was praising God with that Middle Eastern ululation they do with their tongue and their head held back, very loudly too. God heard her praises no doubt! Sorry you missed the clip of it shown on TBN on "Behind the Scenes." But you can go there and look it up, and see the clip yourself perhaps, by viewing a rerunof that particular "Behind the Scenes" segment with Paul Crouch and his son and an Egyptian evangelist.

Islam has nothing, it is bankrupt, when it comes to such absolutely thrilling miracles. Egypt is experiencing incredible miracles like these! Word gets around about them, and the authorities cannot stop millions from finding out that Jesus heals, as the Cross of Jesus is used and so everybody knows who is doing the healing! It certainly isn't Allah and Mohammed, for they have nothing to do with the Cross of Christ, every Moslem knows.

Since the authorities cannot stop Christ at work, Egypt will see more of this going on, and millions come to Christ for salvation. Egypt will soon put evangelical America to shame for the revival that will sweep that Moslem-oppressed nation! Christianity is coming back to Egypt in a big way, though it never really ever left despite all the persecution, which is on-going and fierce this very hour.

Years ago, back in the 1970s, I had a dream that there was going to be anti-Semitism in the U.S. That seemed so unlikely then, when there was scarcely anything of that going on in America. But now it is becoming more and more common, and Europe is ahead of us, but not that much. As Islam grows more militant and powerful in Western societies, the anti-semites are increasing, and it is growing increasingly difficult for the Jews in those countries, where for centuries they have had safe refuge (excluding Europe, of course, which was never a safe refuge, except for limited periods, and, friend, please don't claim Spain under the rule of the Muslim Moors, for Jews were a second-class citizen back then too, along with subject Christians. It was just that they enjoyed more freedom there than in some "Christian" countries that were persecuting Jews at the time; but "more" does not translate as "full". And now we can see an apartheidist Middle East that scarcely has a Jew in it, thanks to its "ethnic cleansing" of Jews from Muslim countries stretching from Morocco to Iran. Jimmy Carter needs to clean his glasses! He calls Israel apartheidist, a nation that has 1.3 million VOTING Muslim Arabs, but totally ignores the apartheidist Muslim countries all around that permit no Jews in their midst, having kicked them all out (except for a few in rare cases that are still hanging on wretchedly in a couple of these countries). That is proof of his ideological blindness. Unfortunately, his purblind view is the same taken by Western Europe and now millions of Americans.

Thanks to him, and the Jehadists, we can expect a huge increase in anti-Semitism and hatred of Israel, the homeland of the Jews. America, which has been a home and refuge for Jews, is becoming more anti-semitic by the day. This is so indefensible, as there would probably be no America today except for the sacrifices of Jews during the Revolution.

There is a dire, direct consequence of anti-semitism. It is severe, too, in its initial stages. Where? Right in the pocket book and the bank balance and at the kitchen table! Once booming little Ireland is experiencing the collapse of its economy and its financial and credit standing, after a great burst of prosperity which transformed the economy to make Ireland a showcase among the dismal European socialistic countries of the European Union. Why? A Franklin Graham evangelistic crusade was held recently in Belfast, in the U.K. portion of the island. What would bring economic woes to this nation, which has experienced so many in the past? Well, anti-semitism, for one! Ireland has gone out of its way to condemn Israel. I really think that Patrick, the so-called patron saint of Ireland, would be heartily ashamed of the Irish who are attacking Israel when they have no need or cause to do so. There is an old, old tradition, that Patrick will be present at the judgment of his nation, and if so we shall see what he thinks of his people's treatment of the Jews. They have turned back to paganism, to drunkenness and self-indulgment, which he gave his life to rid them of when he preached the Gospel to them. They have turned back to paganism just as a dog returns, the Bible says, to its own vomit. The Bible tells it like it is! If you don't like the truth without it being varnished and embroidered and soaked with phony, saccharine phrases, well, that is your problem. The Bible has only truth to give you, and truth is truth. It doesn't need dressing up first to suit you or anybody. The truth saves, not the window-dressing! If all you want is the window-dressing, well, have at it, but it won't save you. You'll go straight to hell with all your fine phrases and fine sentiments. Then see how much they will mean to you!

The once great nation of Britain is no more. Britain's freedom is already destroyed by its radical left, socialistic secularists who have bowed shamelessly to Islam, betraying their own nation in order to gain politically and financially by their treason.

Our own country cannot be given up fast enough by our own secularist leaders and Congress! They want what Islam promises to bring: a non-Christian state that is authoritarian, centralized, and where the Constitution no longer means anything but what they say it means.

We Christians who are awake to this reality must pray and interceed, as nobody but Almighty God can deliver us out of the hands of our enemies who have kidnapped our country and are stripping us of our freedoms, day after day, using a corrupt, slavish U.S. Congress controlled by authoritarians, Democrats with some turncoat Republicans in name only, all acting according to the agenda of the White House where President Obama rules like a pharaoh or a Stalinist by executive decree and dozens of his powerful czars set over every sector of our society to do what he orders, thus completely circumventing the Constitution and all Congressional oversight and the necessity to legislate first before a law can be enforced.

Dr. Smith states that before the transformation into the fiery Black Islamicist, Walcott was "Calypso Gene," a nightclub entertainer. Malcom X was one of the men associated with him in earlier days, at least until someone murdered him after he denounced the teachings of Elijah Muhammad, his former mentor, and questioned his character. He assisted Malcom X (originally Malcom Little) at the Harlem mosque before going to the Boston mosque. You have to remember Farrakhan (Walcott), however, as he is in the news frequently, being quoted or cited in some way. He represented a faction called "Nation of Islam," and was its chief representative. But how did this false religion get started here in America? Obama studied this playbook, and was taught by Marxist professors. he believes this philosophy is best for America, whether we want it or not, and he will continue to do everything he can to implement it, just as he has done the last 20 months in office, along with the media and Congress that he dominates.

So look for them to do it--if not stopped by Nov. 2 election results completely in their tracks, or a general uprising of the American people coast to coast, both of which is unlikely.

My hope is in God, friends. I don't believe a political solution is going to be the answer. God is the answer for America, but only if we truly repent of our sins, individual and national, and throw ourselves on His mercy and grace.

I have hope, regardless, of the dire circumstances we face at this hour.

James Hagee is one of the great Bible-based preachers in America that will not compromise the truth of the Bible for anyone, and he isn't afraid of Washington and its leftist, socialist establishment so that he won't warn this country that a storm, a judgment, a castastrophe is coming--which God won't stop if we continue to defy and reject His rule over us. "Can America Survive" is his latest blockbuster. He is preaching the chapters, so tune in to TBN, and don't miss his programs of late. His Dual Covenant teaching contradicts St. Paul's gospel and teachings in the New Testament, but that doesn't mean he is askew in his other teachings.

Jewish evangelism is truly scriptural, Jews need Christ just as much as any Gentile to be saved. The Law without Christ never saved anybody, and never could. God did not design it to save anybody, Paul said. The Law was impossible for anyone to fulfil it, save Christ alone, who fulfilled it for us! It was intended instead to drive people to Christ, who alone could save souls after fulfilling the Law and dying on the Cross to pay the penalty for all sin. What the Law actually accomplished was to condemn ALL human attempt to reach God by merit of personal goodness and works righteousness. It does a superb job at that. Who could ever keep all the Ten Commandments, much less the 612 laws that Judaism identifies as essential for a believing Jew to obey in order to reach heaven. If any Jew claims to be able to do that, he truly needs his head examined--yet, amazingly, some chief rabbis do just that! That shows only the supreme folly that can grip the old Adamic religious person! It amounts to a delusion, fatal at that. Such religionists condemned Christ in their midst. Today they deny Christ, for much the same reasons--they don't need Christ, thospel they think, as they can work their way to heaven. Dual Covenantism is based on human pride, dead Adamic religiousness, works righteousness, and delusion. Paul condemns it, just read him! The New Testament condemns it. The whole Old Testament won't support it either. It doesn't matter how renowned the name of the one who espouses Dual Coventism, he is dead wrong. He needs prayer, for he is misleading many, while denying Jews the only gospel that will truly save their souls.

Again, we support James Hagee's ministry, which is wonderful, but must draw exception to his Dual Covenant teaching.

Levitt Letter November 2010 issue:

This issue has a terrific section on Islam, comparing Christianity with this religion of Allah and Mohammed. Want to know the differences. Allah and the God of the Bible are not the same. Christ Jesus is not the same as the "Issa" of the Quran. They cannot be reconciled in any way. But there is a way to reach the beloved Muslims with the message of truth that can set them free. The late Sir Lionel Luckhoo, descendant of an indentured Indian laborer in the Caribbean, shows how.

In this issue we can read the article telling about the re-evangelizing of Britain:

Richard Bewes writes:

"Many of us in the U.K are only too aware of our earlier Christian foundation--built through missionaries, martyrs and even a few God-fearing monarchs.

The Legacy of It. There are reminders everywhere. We even have a city, St. Alban's, named after our first martyr. Our earliest universities were all Christian in origin. True, we had periods of spiritual stagnation, but we also had the mighty Reformation four and a half centuries ago that transformed the nation. Further revivals would follow, under such leaders as Bunyan, Wesley, Whitefield, Wilberforce, Booth, Spurgeon and Moody.

And if singing hymns from one end to the other of the London underground trains is symptomatic of a revival taking place, then indeed we had a mighty revival under 16 consecutive weeks of nightly Gospel preaching from Billy Graham at the great Harringay Crusade of 1954. To quote my longtime friend John Stott (who was there every night): "The people were spellbound." No one can begin to undcerstand present day evangelical life in Britain without taking into account what happened during that epoch-making event, and in subsequent missions across Britain, led by the best-known religious figure of the 20th century.

One could argue that Gospel life and church ministry in Britain were rejuvenated only to then be overshadowed by a permissive society and a new wave of godless materialism. It was coupled with reactionary liberal theology that began to be felt across the whole of the West from the 1960s onward. By the end of the century, a new generation had arisen to whom Bible stories and the language of the Gospel were completely unfamiliar."

He points to glimmers of hope and opportunity to reach the British with the Gospel. Vibrant black churches have sprung up in London and elsewhere in big cities, "indicating a belief that Britain will rise again." Immigration, with all its problems yet brings thousands of vibrant Christian believers from Africa, China, Korea, and Asia, he says.

Below this article it tells of 2,400 young people who made decisions for Christ at the "Celebration of Hope" held in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 2008. Northern Ireland is part of the U.K, and the fire ignited there can spread to all of the U.K.

This item was not part of the page's articles, but it is also significant to Britain's rise again. A woman pledged and is donating $1 million pounds sterling (a British pound is worth $1.50 or more) to the Daystar Television Network, as a response to the Sharathon going on. She has promised to donate something like 16 million dollars. This is unheard of. Her offer has been verified. I heard this from Marcus Lamb being announced and thought, "There is hope for Britain! There is hope that God will save Britain!"

"Christianity or Islam, You Choose!" by Sir Lionel Luckhoo

This issue retells the odyssey of David Hathaway, the evangelist, and how he overcame throat cancer and imprisonment in a Czechoslovakian prison for the "crime" of Bible smuggling and turned from that work and a mission to Israel to holding evangelistic and healing meetings all across Russia, Siberia, and the former Soviet states in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

This issue of BAR has a terrific archeological discovery article concerning King Herod's tomb at Herodium, his own name for the arresting, conical, volcano-shaped fortress-palace in the Judaean wilderness that you can see from Jerusalem on a clear day. I saw it easily from Bethlehem, which is much closer, but even then it was an enigma, just a name really, still holding on to its secrets. Now Herod's actual casket was discovered, it is quite well proven, and after all these thousands of years you can see it with your own eyes, the fragments of the beautiful, carved reddish limestone have been reassembled and fit together like a puzzle. Herodium also is a major cultural site in the world. When you consider that King Herod, called "Herod the Great" by his friends the Romans, built even more magnificently at Jerusalem on the Temple Mount, erecting the most splendid structure in the world, the Jewish Temple (a reconstruction of the 2nd Temple which was not yet completed at his death and continued to be worked on for forty years afterwards), Herodium is only slightly less impressive in overall size and intricacy. This is why I say such a thing. It was unbelievably ornate, lavish, and immense, including a fabulous palace fortress on top of a high, artificial hill, half of it buried within the hill, set with towers where Herod and his guests could enjoy the spectacular view and dine on the finest delacacies while sipping from golden goblets, and the complex full of palatial rooms, apartments, dining rooms, baths, etc. That alone was most noteworthy, but it was only one part. Herodium also contained a world-class theater for 450 guests, with a royal box painted with the finest frescoes as its chief jewel, and near the theater (which was demolished early on, so as not to eclipse the mausoleum that followed) an exquisite mausoleum for his own stupifyingly lavish burial, and more yet: a monumental staircase up the hillside to it, and beneath that a huge parade ground, and then the lower palace, truly immense, that looks like a labyrinth, with pools, gardens, and even a lake-sized pool fit for boating with an island adorned with a pavilion or temple on it--all this in the midst of a bone dry Judaean desert! We will not even describe Caesarea, the entire port and city in Roman style that Herod built on the coast to honor his friend and patron, Caesar Augustus.

This article is the product of over thirty years of bone-crunching work in intensive archeological digging and classification and study. The author died soon after writing it, as he fell at the site and died in the hospital two days later from his injuries. It is a rather magnificent last achievement for a noted Jewish archeologist. Herod's secrets were laid bare, thanks to him, secrets that were kept covered by the sands of the the Judaean wilderness for two thousand years.

What is my particular impression? What is my take on Herod and his masterpieces of architecture? This man was the Dunce of the Classical Roman World, or one of the chief dunces. He built sparing no expense, grinding the Jewish people into the dust to pay for his extravagances, all to exercise his colossal vanity and self-love and to flatter Caesar Augustus and all the important people of the day whom he sought to impress with his "greatness." How insecure his ego must have been! That billion-dollar complex of palaces and baths and pools and gardens and fortress called Herodium, where hechose to set his tomb as the chief ornament, it all went to ruin within sixty years or so of his death, apparently destroyed by the Jewish rebels when they revolted against the Romans (66-70 A.D.). His tomb was smashed to bits, his mausoleum leveled. The palaces, both on the mount and below it, probably destroyed at the same time, when the Romans returned with the legions under Vespasian and Titus his son to crush the Jews, which they did, wiping out something like 1 million Jews, along with the Temple and much of Jerusalem, and also Masada, and perhaps Qumran too. Romans could do a thorough job when they set themselves against a declared enemy. All of Herod's glory-- smashed and soon buried beneath drifting sands and dust--waiting the archeologist's spade thousands of years later! The vanity of Herod is beyond grasping! This pathetic, blood-thirsty, egocentric, much-hated, much-feared king, who had hundreds of Jewish notables rounded up, imprisoned, and sentenced to die as soon as he ceased to live, just so there would be tears shed when he passed away, died the most excruciating, sickening death imaginable, which is described by Josephus. You don't want to read it! What Herod is no doubt going through right in hell, well, no doubt he realizes too late what a fool of Satan he was. Jesus may have been referring to him when he commented, "What does it profit if a man gain the whole world and lose his own soul?" Take heed, Hugo Chavez, take heed, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, take heed Czar Putin! A much greater despot than you came to absolute destruction and disgrace. Where Herod went and is presently being eaten of worms and roasting in a pitch dark, horribly smelly furnace of unending flames, with no exit possible, you too will go unless you repent and turn to Jesus Christ for salvation and forgiveness of your sins and crimes! And you, Miss Goody-Two-Shoes, sitting so nicely in choir every Sunday, a Bible on your lap. You're just as rotten and sinful as Herod in God's holy eyes. You're going to the same place if you don't repent and confess to the Lord and receive forgiveness of your sins. Your goodness won't save you in the least, just as Herod's magnificent architecture didn't save him in the least from God's just punishment of him. His friends, Caesar Augustus on down, couldn't save him either. They too are in hell--with the devils using them for trampolines and target practice. It isn't pretty. It is reality. Like Detroit, it may not be pretty, but it still exists. Why not deal with it now and make sure you don't go there? Once there, you cannot change your mind.

Whatever form it takes, whoever promotes it, "Replacement Theology" is one of the most pernicious heresies that the Church has ever evidenced, sown into the heart of Christ's Church by Satan himself in the lst century. Today it is flowering once again, a noxious weed in evangelical circles. This "theology" is no innocent thing. It is responsible for the deaths of countless Jews, at the hands of so-called Christians, including the Nazis. Look at the company this wicked heresy keeps: mass murderers, persecuting Roman emperors, African rulers, Muslims and their clerics, sultans, and caliphs, Polish kings, Russian czars, Spanish despots, English tyrants, Roman Catholic prelates and popes in Inquisitional days. It will precipate the last massacre during the coming reign of Anti-Christ. Some big-name evangelicals endorse this horrible heresy too--God forgive them! R.C. Sproul, the late Dr. James Kennedy--well, those are great names, are they not? But great men of God can err--this has occurred time and again. The Great Reformer, Martin Luther himself stumbled badly into anti-semitism, when he condemned the Jews of Germany for rejecting his overtures concerning the Gospel. Hitler took Luther's words and used them to justify the attack he made all-out on the Jews of not only Germany but the Nazi-occupied countries of Europe. What a terrible legacy Luther's ill-advised words earned him! Has the church learned from his stumble? No! We do no learn from history, even church history, do we?

Eben's prophecy that performs judgment, well deserved, on this doctrine of Satan:

"I am Jehovah-Jesus. I have not changed. I cannot change. Yet you would replace Me? Who can stand in My place or sit on the right hand of My Father? Yet you say you have replaced the Jews, My Chosen People, whom I chose before the world's foundation to be a special people to Me to bear My Word. But they were rebels, you say. You say I rejected them. Not so! My servant Paul testified by the Spirit that it is not so, that My people are rejected of God. Is he a liar? Is the Spirit of God a liar Who spoke to you through him? God forbid! Paul said. Ah, yes, My people were rebellious, but are you not rebellious just like them? I have endured you Gentiles two thousand years, and during all that time you have been rebellious toward Me. Can you deny that? Then name the time you were not rebellious toward Me, and correct Me! If you reject the people of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and refuse to bless them, if you curse them and put yourselves in their places, should not the curse I promised those who do such things fall upon you and even your nation? I must be true to My Word. Surely, I will curse you if you reject and curse My beloved people the Jews. Listen and obey, lest you lose all the blessing received from My hands. The Jews will always be the apple of My eye. Then where is your gratitude to them for all they have given to you Christians of Gentile stock? They gave you the Prophets and the Word. They gave you Myself, your Savior and Lord. They gave you the Apostles, My first disciples. You gave them nothing for all these great gifts. You could give them nothing, for all that time you were lost in your sins, sunk in darkness, under Stadan's bondage. WHAT IS PIETISM?

Are you "small change" in your own eyes, Christian friend? Well, in God's eyes he has no "small-change" children, since all of us were paid for by his most precious treasure, His Only Begotten Son Jesus. You may be a Fast Foods restaurant worker, a grease monkey in a drive-through lube joint, a gas station/store attendant, a checker at the grocery store, an attendant at a car wash, a hamburger slinger at McDonalds--in God's eyes, that doesn't make you less than the President or a member of Congress or a corporation CEO--not a whit! All those V.I.P's are no more important than you are! Many ministries and churches too may seem "small change" in comparison with worldly standards. These standards are promoted everywhere, even in Christian circles where "mega-churches" seem to attract all the attention and admiration. It is hard not to be discouraged sometimes, and belittle or demean ourselves because we are not anything noteworthy in the world's estimation. So here is the perfect word for us, who (if we are honest with ourselves) feel that way:

IS THERE A SPECIAL SIGNIFICANCE IN GOD'S KINGDOM CONCERNING TEN-TEN-TEN?

Marcus Lamb of Daystar Televison Network, Dallas, Texas, has just said that 10-10-10 (or Oct. 10, 2120) will not come again for a thousand years, until Oct. 10, 3010 (whether there is a calender or not at that time he cannot say, of course). But this number 10 has great significance. Ten means, he says, completeness, fulness, perfection or divine order, nothing wanting, a whole cycle is complete. There were 10 generations from Adam to Noah, 10 generations from Noah to Abraham. The tithe is 10 or 10%. Ten Commandments. Ten plagues of Egypt. Ten Wise Virgins. What do three 10's stand for? Marcus Lamb says they stand for each our 3-part individual being, one body, one soul, and God is the third person in us (as the Scriptures say, that each born again person has the Spirit of Christ), our spirit! 10-10-10 is a Sunday. Be sure to go, and give you tithe, says Marcus Lamb, and that day will be a turning point for you [Well, it is Nov. 2, and the day has passed by. Another such date won't come again for another 1,000 years! Well, we warned you! Yet God has mercy on us, why not contact Daystar and give anyway? Better late than never!]

Billy Graham: "Cover Yourself":

DEAR MR. GRAHAM: I am an insurance salesman. The other day I ran across someone who said he didn't want any health insurance because he just trusted God for the future, and since God was going to take care of him, he did not need any insurance. I just wondered what you think of this--A.N.A.

DEAR A.N.A.: This man was no doubt sincere (unless he was just trying to get rid of you!), but I wouldn't agree with his understanding of faith.

Yes, God has promised to take care of His children. But this doesn't mean they are exempt from illness or fires or accidents, for God has not promised that. Nor does it mean they are to ignore common sense and refuse to take preventive measures or to save--either to avoid such things or to overcome the financial effects of such events.

In fact, the Bible repeatedly warns us against laziness and thoughtlessness, and urges us to plan ahead and be diligent and thrifty so we can avoid disaster: "Go to the ant, you sluggard: consider its ways and be wise...it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest...), but) poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man" (Proverbs 6:6,8, 11). Deliberately refusing to provide for the future is not wise or prudent. If this man becomes ill and cannot pay his hospital bill, someone will pay--his relatives or society or some other person. But why should others bear the burden of his imprudence? In our own organization we have sought to provide as full insurance as we can for our staff.

This man has, however, pointed to an important truth that I hope you will take to heart. Our futures are in god's hands,a nd no matter how much we try to accumulate, He alone should be our security. Are you building your life on Christ and seeking to serve Him every day?--Seattle-Post Intelligencer, Date Unknown

Christ is coming soon. Jesus says so to countless people. Soon he's coming back. Are you ready, friend? Really ready? Cmon, don't lie about it. Chances on, you're not ready, if you're choosing to play footsie and patsy with evil, you're just playing stupid games with God, thinking you have plenty time to get real and get your act straight.

Wrong! You're really Dumb, and Dumber! You don't have that kind of time. Nobody has. All we have is this moment, and the next is anyone's guess what it will be for you or me. So, the Reality Manual for Life, The Holy Bible, says to you and me, "Examine yourself! See if you be in the faith as once delivered to the apostles and by the apostles!"

We notice that more of you are coming to the site than before, and why, pray tell, are you coming? What are you looking for? Christ? Or something else? Something less? That is my question, and that is God's too. Hey, man, or woman, or girl or boy, what's your true reason. Just to tickle your ears, friend? If that is all you come for, why not skip this site. You're not needed here, really. Here is Covenant, sacrifice, the Cross, the Blood of Christ, Repentance, Forgiveness, Sanctification, Love that's real, a Life Wholly Committed to Christ and His mission: evangelizing, making disciples of all nations! Loving others as ourselves (not "like" ourselves, as is normally done). If that doesn't fit your template, then go to Facebook, or YouTube, or your silly friends' bragging, shemeless, tell-all blogs or the sleezy video hang-outs and chats where you can share all that ungodly garbage about yourselves and your friends who are just like you, showing each other pictures of your body as if you were a piece of meat at the butcher's. Oh, aren't you darling without your clothes! Aren't you cute showing off that body God meant you to protect and respect and for others to respect too! God didn't create you to be somebody else's sexual trampoline, that he or she can jump on and off from so they can get their jollies, before they dump you and go and find another more attractive trampoline further down the street. Aren't you really cool! Oh, no your're not! You were created in God's imagine, and no animal was ever created in God's image. No animal was ever the object of his love and fellowship, but you were! The schools told you a lie: you are the last thing to an animal--but you can choose to act like one, to be sure. Instead, God created you for a holy servant life--not that porno stuff you think is so cool and interesting and what your "cool" friends are doing. Looking for self-esteem? Want to feel loved? Well, God who created the whole universe loves you infinitely more than the universe. Doesn't that impress you--at least a little? Christ died for you--he really did die for you! Who else died for you, or would die for you? What good would it do? You'd still be stuck in your sins, in your evil life, in your self-centered self. But just look at the Alternative, just look at those scar marks on his body--he didn't get those by being on Facebook and telling everybody about his coming to earth to die for us--he went to a real cross and suffered a real crucifixion--which is the cruellest, most bloody, most sickening and revolting and painful way to die ever devised by sinner man. Still needing self-esteem, outside Christ and what he did for you because he loved you so he spared nothing of himself? I hope you really get a boost of your poor little suffering self-esteem--right where you desperately need it, right square on your backside like a donkey's kick! Christ is everything you need--but he isn't your patsy, he is Lord of lords and King of kings. He isn't going to be your ice cream cone or your double mocha late. All this to say, we need to get real with ourselves, but most of all we need to get real with God. Here's how. Read on:

The following article is about cholera in Haiti. What it does to actual human beings, many of them little children. It is nothing but real. But, you spoiled and pampered and self-centered, ungrateful American Christian, do you know what "real" is? This article will show you and me. Decide if you measure up or not to "real". If not, you can repent and get right with God, and be made real by Jesus Christ our Real Savior. He came to save us from ourselves. I thank God for that! Why not surrender and plead, "Jesus, please make me real like you?" He will answer that prayer if sincere. After all, he died on a real cross for you and me too!

I just heard a trendy evangelist preach this pooh-gospel of his on TV: "God put us on this earth to rule!" He is totally wrong! Jesus said He came not to rule and be served but to serve. How about that? Is that hard to understand? We are servants, not rulers. Muslims talk the way the Christian evangelist talks, do they not? Muslims exist to rule over others. That is the Wahibist teaching you would hear in ten thousand mosques if you ever got time and permission to visit them. Christians exist to serve Muslims, however, not as Muslim slaves but as slaves to Christ. It is a big difference. We are not to lord it over others like the Gentiles do, Jesus said, but we are here to serve others in His name for the Gospel's sake. We love God and we serve others. Serving others, we show we truly love God, and that the love of God is in us [conversely, those who exist to rule and lord it over others, they are not God's children).

I wonder if we Gentile Christians ought not to take a specific course in Middle Eastern customs. It would help our understanding of the Bible considerably! For instance, I have yet to hear preached upon that Jesus washed the feet of his own servants and disciples, which no master ever did before him or probably since (though I think Francis of Assisi did it in emulation of the Lord). But that is not the main point. The disciples helped set up this last Passover dinner they celebrated with the Lord, did they not? Perhaps they thought someone else would see to the washing of the guests' (that is, their) feet. As for Jesus' feet, they would then expect his would be washed by a household servant too. So they didn't think about it anymore and proceeded to sit down and enjoy the Passover? No, they found out that there was no servant provided by whomever at that loaned upper room to wash their feet when they entered. But what did they do? They probably felt rather mistreated or out of sorts as they reclined on various couches (they did not sit in chairs in Western style). Imagine that, their feet smelled from the dirty street, and now they would have to put up with that indignity and unpleasant odor (a room full of men with unwashed feet!) for the entire Passover. That would certainly seem to start the Passover off with a sour note! Did they think of Jesus' feet also going unwashed? If anyone did, nothing was done. Not one rose to do anything about it. The worst thing, their master, having to go with his feet unwashed--apparently they could put up with that. Let's face it, this night all the disciples, including John the one who loved Jesus most, behaved like a bunch of selfish, self-centered, sanctimonious jerks! What did Jesus do then? Without calling this bunch of world-class jerks down in scathing terms for their contemptible behavior toward him, humble, meek Jesus proceeded with the Passover, but as it had begun it continued, different from all the many Passovers they had previously known. Then the most shocking thing occurred: Jesus rose, laid aside his outer robe, took a towel, and a container of water, and went to one disciple after another washing their feet! This simply was unheard of! But what could they say? A master behaving as a servant, a lowly slave, in taking upon himself the unclean duty of washing dirty feet? They were appalled, scandalized, no doubt. Yet it was all made clear when Jesus arose, after washing even Peter's feet when he strenuously objected to it at first. Jesus told them they ought to be like him, do as he had done, for he came not to be served but to serve, and no servant is above his master (meaning his disciples should not exalt themselves above what they saw their own master, Jesus, doing. These men must have been heartily ashamed of themselves. They had been taught a loving but rather stinging lesson that they would never, never forget! From then on they knew they had to behave as servants, not masters and rulers over the flock of God. They all remembered this incident until their dying day.

Nowadays we have foot washings in churches, which are rather sedate affairs, and not at all Middle Eastern in details or meaning. People come with clean feet, not wearing sandals that let feet get dirty in a dirty, stinking Middle Eastern street, full of dust and droppings and urine from sheep and goats and the garbage thrown out by households into the street. I have been in the Middle East, and it is still just like this in many places. It has not changed from Jesus' time in this respect. People commonly wear sandals too, not shoes that keep the feet clean. Here our Western style foot washings in churches, meant to teach servanthood, really can't do so with any real force. I have gone through such a foot washing, and it was just a ritual, rather pointless to say the least. Perhaps it is time to learn Middle Eastern customs and culture, or we will continue to get poor sermon treatments of the Passover with Jesus and his disciples and that whole scene that taught them a tremendous lesson about servanthood that would prove unforgettable. It is so important a lesson too, and if a Christian ever forgets he is on this earth to be a servant, can he even be considered a true disciple of Jesus, who said he came to us as a servant, and we ought to act likewise? When this lesson is forgotten or ignored, consider how "disciples" act--hardly, like Christ, you must agree.

Jesus, please forgive me, and forgive all of us who have forgotten this lesson of servanthood.

This is taken from Stuart Maxwell Hawkins's book, and it recalls to mind a story I heard recently. A chess master was shown a painting by someone. But the chess master kept looking and looking at it, from various angles, until he finally said, "I am a professional at chess. Either the painter is a liar, calling this painting, 'Checkmate,' or he will have to change the name." He kept saying this as he examined the famous painting. Finally he said why: "The king still has one move," he said.

Isn't that tremendous? It may look like the game is up, we are finished, the Devil has defeated us, the wicked old world has us tied and trussed like chickens in the slaughterhouse, but no! It isn't over yet! Our King Jesus still has one more move!
