Which of the three on the road to Emmaus is Yeshua? How can you tell? There are at least three main clues.

"God's Covenants," Part I, by Ronald Ginther

Please use the link below to John Hagee Ministries to obtain casettes or CDs on current series on Covenants. His teachings are excellent. It is interesting that our article appeared before seeing his series on Covenants, which tells us that God is speaking this word about the importance of Covenants to a variety of people--including ordinary people like us! We do not have to be TV evangelists or mega-church pastors to receive the latest word from God. God is helping us to re-discover the importance of His divine covenants, and He shows no partiality among true seekers. God says He will give us the "secret" of His covenant, to all those who love His commandments and truly seek Him. And please read Psalm 111 and see what importance God places on His covevants with man. Is God changeable? "Everlasting" and "forever" and "perpetual" with God mean exactly that, and should mean the same to us today, despite our modern outlook of a "society in flux," as Queen Elizabeth II recently described our times to a Parliament Synod of the Church which she heads as "Defender of the Faith. She also declared that Jesus Christ is the best anchor for all mankind, whatever religion they hold, or race, or ethnicity. This stand gains her condemnation from the second in command to Osama bin Ladin, who called her the "most dangerous woman" in the world. It is good she is "dangerous," for confessing Jesus Christ is the only Answer to the world's problems. Long live the Queen!--Ed.

Beyond question, the greatest book in the world is the Bible, and the greatest Book is about the greatest Person, Jesus Christ (Yeshua the Anointed).

Friend, are you unable to read the Bible, that is, make sense of it? Or do some parts make sense, but others seem totally bewildering? Are you desiring to go deeper, or reach a higher ground, spiritually, but your difficulty in comprehending scripture is holding you back? It may well be you need to consider that the Bible is essentially Messianic--that is, it exists to tell you about the Messiah and Savior, and virtually everything in the Bible points to Him. With this understanding, you are on your way to unlocking the scriptures and opening the door to Yeshua--for they are, in truth, a living Person, Jesus (Yeshua), who delights in His Name, the Word (John 1:1: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

THE MESSIANIC BIBLE TEXTS--WHAT ARE THEY?

The Bible's Messianic Texts are thus named because they are passages in scripture that point specifically to the Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus in Gentile terminology). Foremost in consideration of these texts, Christ Himself chose it when conducting an informal Bible class with two distraught and troubled disciples who had left Jerusalem just after the crucifixion and were on their way to Emmaus, a village seven miles from the Holy City. This spiritual trek inspired the logo graphic at the top of our home page.

Could it be true that this area is also the site of the Garden of Eden, which it could have been if the continents were formed after the Garden was declared off limits to a fallen humanity. The four rivers were then re-located which once flowed from the area that now comprises the territory round about Jerusalem. According to Perry Stone, this is something to consider, though he does not claim any high certitude for his idea. According to Perry Stone, the Tree of Life, being situated on or near Mt. Moriah might well explain God's passionate attachment to Mt. Zion (part of the Jerusalem site) as well as Mt. Moriah, which is thought to be the mount on which the Temple Mount is now located. God's Son, promised to Abraham on Mt. Moriah, appeared in the fullness of time as Jesus on the Cross, a "tree" that was erected on or near the place on Mt. Moriah where Abraham put his own son on an altar of sacrifice. It is a fascinating conjecture, is it not? Someday we shall know whether this is truth or fiction. The interesting point above all here is that the Bible cannot ever be exhausted--there is always something to be learned.

The account of Jesus appearing to the two disciples on the walk to Emmaus can be found in Luke 24. It is vital to read this passage in its entirety. What god you can name--or what great religious figure--could do what Jesus did for us? Yeshua (Jesus, Jehovah, Issa, whatever name you use) is the Lord and Creator of the Universe, stooping in love to counsel and teach two discouraged disciples, who ignorantly supposed all was lost when Jesus died on the Cross, when actually it was the beginning of their New Covenant salvation and the salvation of the entire world!

EMMAUS WALK CURRICULUM

But first two profiles, the first of Ronald Ginther (you may link to a more extensive biographical sketch with Link 27):

RONALD D. GINTHER, EMMAUS WALK FOUNDER, EDITOR, PILGRIM, Student of the Bible

WELCOME! Now we offer a brief profile. Ronald Ginther has been a life-long resident of Puyallup, Washington, which was once a small, virtually unnoticed town of about 14,000 in Western Washington in the Puget Sound, located in a green valley of small berry-farmers and canneries and daffodil growers--now it is a medium-sized city of over 100,000, yet it retains a small-town look in the older sections. Ronald Ginther credits his faith in God to his godly mother (who is his prayer partner too at age 96) and godly father (deceased in a plane crash when he was five years old) and godly grandparents and relatives. The Lord was always near to his family. He, however, resisted grace and put off salvation until he was fifteen, attending a Christian high school in South Dakota. That was a life-changing decision, he found, though he didn't understand it at the time. Ronald Ginther says he has been most richly blessed by the living Word that the Lord has graciously given Him any time he goes to the scriptures. It is God's Word that, more than his secular education at college and university, provides his view of the world, the purpose for our life on earth, and the direction and guidance we individually need to fulfill our purpose and live in a loving way toward others. Everything we need is in Jesus Christ, and everything Jesus Christ is we can find in the Bible. Evenso, we can have a personal relationship with God and Jesus Christ, and the Word will show us not only how to live righteously but also how to grow in knowledge and truth. What better reasons could we have not to read the Word of God and study it together?

DUANE L. SMITH, THE LATE EMMAUS WALK INSTRUCTOR, AND AUTHOR, TEACHER, LAY-MINISTER

Duane L. Smith, an instructor for THE EMMAUS WALK, has been a long-time resident of Tacoma, Washington (though he has become a resident of Oregon of late--editor). He was born and raised in Washington. He came from a small town, and attended a Pentecostal church during his early childhood. In his own words:

"My mother was a godly woman, and a great woman of faith as well as a prayer warrior. I first heard and understood the Gospel at age 12, while attending a little Southern Baptist Denomination church in the country. Later that day, I met God alone, right in the middle of a very large field. Right then and there, I prayed the Sinner's Prayer. The next Sunday, I publically gave my testimony. I was baptized and joined the church soon thereafter. In my early teens, I moved in with my brother's family in Tacoma. I received the Spirit Baptism while attending a youth group at People's Church in Tacoma, a large non-denominational fellowship of believers. At age 18, I enlisted in the Navy during the late Vietnam Era. It was at that time I began to rebel against God and run from Him. My rebellion continued after I was honorably discharged. Finally, it led me to a point of brokenness, a state of complete, incomprehensible demoralization, a point of total despair. It was a major turning point in my life. I cried out to God, and God heard me. It was then I realized that Jesus was not only my Savior, but truly my Lord. After that experience, I dedicated myself to the Lord's service, and received the call to the ministry. I devoted myself to the study of God's Word. I completed my high school education at Tacoma Community College, and received five college credits in sociology. Later, I successfully completed occupational training at Clover Park Vocational Technical Institute for Vocational Rehabilitation Facility Supervisor, where I studied and applied psychology every day. I first met my fellow colleague and editor, Brother Ron Ginther at Bible college. That experience was a vital step in preparing me for the ministry. I have been faithfully conducting Bible study in my home for years. Now, because of a fresh anointing from the Lord, the whole direction of my ministry has changed. Now it's more of a Bible fellowship (prayer, praise, worship, study, and fellowship). I always try to present a biblically balanced view. I have to be faithful to what I believe the Bible teaches. As a minister of the Gospel, I know I must one day stand before the judgment seat of Christ and be held accountable for everything I do and say in the Name of the Lord. It is my hope and prayer that I might be used by the Lord, to help bring health and healing to the Body of Christ; the ENTIRE Body of Christ. There has been deep hurt, pain, bitterness, and suffering in the Body for entirely too long. Lord, please heal your Church. Amen." [Note: Duane L. Smith's prophetic prayer has been answered! See "The Divine Inner Healing Ministry, Parts I and II," given on this page (Part I) and on a linked page (Part II). This is a stupendous event, the birthing of a new world-wide ministry, all because of Duane L. Smith's obedience to God, his calling by God, and his anointed prayer, which he did not live to see answered, as it was just shortly after his homegoing.--Ronald D. Ginther, Editor and Founder of the Emmaus Walk].

"Foundational Principles for Abundant Living, Meditations on God's Grace, Section A," by Duane L. Smith

Prayer is the keystone of a successful, fruitful Christian faith, it must be said. Without prayer, faith in the Lord will remain sterile and eventually fail.

Read the article by Bernice Schaefer on prayer. She is the late aunt of Ronald Ginther, and wife of a long-time Bible school teacher in Atascadero, California. Her mother's portrait follows this--Ronald Ginther's spiritual giant, his own grandmother.

"Praying for You," Ronald Ginther's grandmother in a characteristic prayer, a watercolor by the renowned portrait artist, Bart Lindstrom:

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY, APRIL 8, 2006:

The wrapping in which the fish comes is not the fish. We see this in the story by an AP Science Writer, "Fossil Fish Sheds Light on Transition." Mr. Malcom Ritter may not have concocted the title, but it is entirely misleading. The purported "fossil fish" does not shed light on transition, for there is no transition to shed light on in the first place. This "fish" is supposed to be 375 million years old, or thereabouts. It is supposed to show evidence of rudimentary bones of a arm from the shoulder to the wrist area, and looked like "a scale covered arm." This armed fish was supposed to look like a cross between a fish and a crocodile. It is supposed to be one of the first creatures to crawl up out of the sea and begin a life on land. Ergo: proof of "transition," that is, proof of the Theory of Evolution. Not so! The whole article is sheer, shameless speculation. Scientists are said to know, when they don't know. The words give away the mad, speculative "science" at work here. "May," "might," "correspond," "probably had, and so on, underscore the speculation going on. "Correspond," particularly, is a weasel word. You can correspond all you like to something, such as a person dressing and speaking and eating like a Chinese, but that will never make you Chinese if you weren't first born Chinese! The article really gives away the cat in the bag with the admission, ""It's impossible to tell if Tiktaalik [the Inuit word taken to misapply to the land- lubbing fish) was a direct ancestor of land vertebrates," Jennifer Clack of Cambridge University, "an expert" unnconnected with the study states. What? Perhaps the title was a bit hasty? Where is the traditional skepticism of genuine scientific inquiry? Where modern theorizing on evolution is concerned, it seems to have flown on corresponding bird-like wings out the window of reality!--Ed.

"Scientist: Jesus May Have Walked On Ice," by Bill Kaczor, Associated Press Writer," really belongs to the National Inquirer, along with the Fossil Fish-Crocodile article. Doron Nof, a professor of oceanography at Florida State University, is cited, saying that a "rare combination of water and atmospheric conditions in the Sea of Galilee 2000 years ago may offer a scientific explanation for one of the miracles recounted in the Bible." Doesn't this "scientist" have something better to do than dredge up such nonsense? Simple common sense is lacking throughout this whole article and its thesis. How could any man keep his footing on a piece of ice in a stormy sea and make it safely to a boat that is also in big trouble in the same storm? Impossible. That would be a bigger miracle than simply walking on water! Let the scientist explain that miracle! Was Peter also able to find a piece of ice (though this a rare occurence, the scientist avers) that was big enough to support a fisherman's substantial body, and not only that, was he able to keep his footing as he proceeded toward Jesus who was approaching on His ice floe? Two pieces of ice, moving towards each other--that is most strange coincidence, when you consider that in storms the wind currents move prevailingly in one direction or another. What probability was there (Doron should be able to figure out the probability, since he is a scientist) in the two ice floes coming together, or close enough after Peter began to sink, so that Jesus able to grab Peter and haul him up to safety and then conduct back to the boat? This article's reasoning is almost too hilarious to be true--Mr. Nof, in an interview after making his find public, attempts a lame, transparent diversion, to dissociate himself from any theological debate by claiming he is only a scientist dealing with natural processes, and so he isn't trying to say anything in the way of theology--really? If that were true, we would never have heard of Mr. Nof, the poor fellow. Now we know he exists on the planet (Florida, wouldn't you know?), and what a bumbling sort of scientist he is. This is the sort of thing that goes on today, in the name of science, sad to say, and influences millions of people in the wrong way, though they are usually children, who are not to likely to question, as adults would, what they hear from the media. His work only confirms the findings that show the catastrophic decline of IQ in the populations of Industrial Scoieties--a decline that has got to affect the scientific community, and, in Doron Nof's case, has landed him a job as professor at Florida State University. He must be a politically correct individual, to a wonderful degree; otherwise, there can be no explanation for his gaining employment where intellect of some degree is required. I hope you are laughing with me. We need to laugh! The absurdities of the secular humanist culture need to be laughed at for what they are and put in their place--the sooner the better, since the destinies of an entire generation are being adversely affected by such incompetent pedagogues and wannabe theologians as poor Mr. Nof.--Ed.

EASTER EGG HUNT QUIZ

"Foundational Principles of Life," "Word of Faith" and "Self-Deification" Heresies Explained, by Duane L. Smith

"The Burden of France," by Eben

"The Burden of the Netherlands (Holland)," by Eben

"Come home, America!"

Did you know there is a maternal aspect to God's love? His love is far more passionate than a father's would be. It is also more maternal than a mother's. No earthly father and no earthly mother can really compare to the love of God for each of us! It is too intimate, too committed, too extravagant, too long-suffering, too full of agape, to be human. Aren't you glad? That means it is not limited in any way. We would have all been consumed long ago if that love of God had been limited and earthly in scope. It is almost embarrassing, if you read what the Bible really says about God's love for us--such passion goes beyond all human conception. It is far too extravagant to even put in words. St. Paul the great expositor of Bible truths did better than anyone when he tried to put it into words. Can you name the passage where he tried to define it? It was his best attempt, but the Parable of the Prodigal Son given by Jesus is even better. The graphic here, to be even a little bit true of God, should be embarrassing and extravagant, even as the description of the Father's love for the Prodigal is embarrassing and extravagant (if we knew the Eastern customs, we would know as people in the East know that no father could do what the father in the Parable did without disgracing himself!).

As you consider and take to heart the message, why not heed the call of the loving Heavenly Father: "Come home, My beloved son! My beloved Daughter! I am waiting for you! I am waiting out on the road, looking for you every day, every minute of every hour of the day long! Return! With the hem of My own garment I will wipe away your tears and the dirt from your face! I will put a gold ring on your finger, a new robe on your shoulders, and I will escort you to your place of honor at My table, so you may feast with the family as we all celebrate your return, and we all rejoice that this My beloved child that was lost is now returned and is restored to My blessing and My Covenant. So do not tarry any longer in your foreign land, where no one cares for you, and where you will surely starve and perish among those unloving strangers who do not love God, not to mention the pigs you are keeping for them! Hurry back, My dear child! My heart is breaking, as I wait for you out here on the road to catch the first sight of you returning home! Your father's heart is breaking for you!

If you do not know or believe America has much to repent of, link to the following article. It itemizes just a few of our individual and national sins. No one article can do justice to the enormity of our transgressions and the multitude of them. This should give us more appreciation of the greater length and depth and height and breadth of God's love and grace, for we ought to have been destroyed but we are still here:

"The Burden of America," by Eben

Abortion, a now unfashionable euphemism for infanticide, has been a flagrant sin of America for many years, and we offer now the lyrics and score to "Ballad of the Unknown Child," by Ronald Ginther (lyrics) and Karen Nolde (tune). It may take time to unload but we feel it will be worth the wait. The setting is a monument to the Unknown Child set in a lonely spot by a river, reached by a muddy trail that mothers climb every day to make what contact they can with a child they lost by choice and now are belatedly seeking with grieving hearts.

"Ballad of the Unknown Child," by Ronald Ginther and Karen Nolde

"The Burden of Canada," by Eben

Canada is recently experiencing an almost wistful turning back toward God and grace through the election of a conservative government, overturning the rule of corrupt and oppressive liberal governments that have destroyed Canada for decades, decades that give us a doleful account of pride and rebellion against God and continual attacks on morality, characteristic of any nation dragged down to a state of moral collapse and crisis by the harlotry of feminism, diversity, ecology, and the rest of the wads of nonsense that go by similarly deceitful, euphemistic titles. Pray it will endure and bring the necessary changes that will reinstate morality and sanity, but universal revival is what is needed to save Canada, just as it is necessary to save America. Governments, however righteous, can only do so much. Revival will deal with the root and core of Canada's spiritual need for complete regeneration. Otherwise, this government too will only be moving the same, old furniture around, instead of bringing about a complete refurbishment.

"The Burden of Britain," by Eben

THE DIVINE INNER HEALING MINISTRY

Part I

by Ronald D. Ginther, Founder of DIHM

Note the pathetic bandaids in the jpg of the beggar boy that we often use to try to heal inner wounds and griefs. They cannot do the job, for such deep wounds, but we try them anyway, then go and ignore the inner pain of unhealed issues for years, often for as long as a lifetime--suffering needlessly inside all that while, since Christ the Great Physician stands ready to heal and restore us. He alone knows us and our hearts, and our inner being, and just what is needed for our healings! Why do we choose man over Him, in almost 100 per cent of the times we go for help. Divine inner healing can only be administered by God Himself. No man can do it. A man may be a conduit or instrument of it, but he cannot do it. Why don't we turn to God? Why do we ignore him and turn to men for help almost always? We usually turn to God only in the last resort--but that isn't a true turning to God for help. It is only a sign of exhaustion and resignation.--"Okay, God, do your thing, if YOU think you can help me out of this problem!" That isn't faith. It is really a terrible insult to the Great Physician, Jesus Christ.

Have you considered the topic of inner healing (divine inner healing, not man-induced or man-originated)? Please return for a link to a new article by Ronald Ginther, describing his divine inner healing just now experienced on February 11 in the early morning hours, during which he conversed with his earthly father with a direct line to him in heaven, via Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit! It was a two hour communication, during which Ronald Ginther received revelation about relationships in his family that were later confirmed by his mother when told to her. The pieces of a puzzle are now virtually all in place for the healing and deliverance of his entire family--a family that was blown apart psychologically and mentally in 1947 with his father's death (actually an undeclared homicide, since it was due to a dishonest airplane dealer's malpractice and deceitful dealing with Ronald's father in the sale of a defective plane he knew had problems and insisted Ronald's father should take up anyway in a test flight).

Ronald Ginther is now the first to be healed in his family of eight grown children who lost their father in 1947 (suddenly in a plane crash) but never dealt with it properly, so that each individual carried, as it happened, a grieving child hidden and unrecognized inside. Thanks to God's healing touch alone, Ronald's five year old child was released, and this "inner child" carried on the conversation with his daddy in heaven, and in the process the adult Ronald received healing and release. It was a sheer, unexpected act of God, all the more wonderful because it is real, real, real. It would be interesting to know if other families, having experienced the loss of loved ones, have experienced what his family suffered all these decades since 1947.

The imprisonment of the pain, bewilderment, and sometimes unforgiveness of the missing father by the uncomprehending inner child, which never grows up but continues to grieve uncomprehendingly, is a terrible captivity that only God can break the person free of, is an account that should ring bells (or raise little red flags) with others. No man is an island, the great English metaphysical poet John Donne said. Surely, someone else on this wide earth has undergone the same thing to some degree! Yet God can, as Isaiah proclaimed and Christ read to his fellow Nazarenes, liberate the captive, as Ronald, a long-time captive of a grieving inner boy, can now testify. This article will be called, "Free At Last: My Divine, Inner Healing," by Ronald Ginther. This is not about grief therapy or grief management, it must be repeated to make absolutely clear. It is a God-originated DIVINE MIRACLE of grace and healing that came from heaven, not from earth or in anything a person could possibly do or pull off to bring about so-called "closure" after a death. This may sound strange, and you may not have read of a case of this anywhere. That is likely. Neither has Ronald and his mother, as they observed in converation about it. But that doesn't invalidate it, since God isn't known in the Bible to be much of a "copycat." He doesn't seem to have to repeat Himself very often, if He ever actually does. He is eternally creative and eternally sovereign and omnipotent, and can always do new things, which men could never do, even given all the technological and physical resourses (along with all the computers and science and accumulated knowledge) of the so called post-modern world.

Do you understand what is being said here, Emmaus Walk student and seeker of the truth of the Bible? Print it off rather than give somebody a half-understood, half-garbled account that may mislead unintentionally. Better yet, wait for the article for all to be made clear, if this is not clear enough. No one need be hurt or misled by this introduction of the article. It is only to announce what is coming to this Bible school, since it seems the Lord is leading Ronald Ginther into an anointed ministry of this kind, and since he knows he is already anointed and equipped to begin one. It is now only a matter of time and God's opening of doors to receptive hearts and thirsty souls who desire to be set free of things that are the same or similar to what held Ronald and his siblings captive in bonds (and grief in children can be a very hard bond to get rid of, once it settles down into a child's heart and is buried there as the child grows up but doesn't ever effectively deal with--right? In this respect, please read Psalm 116:16. The Lord gave this verse to Ronald shortly after the Divine Inner Healing.

Surely, you get the very apt, timely Biblical point of this now, what is being dealt with, and so it should not seem so alien and strange as it may have first appeared at the start of the note. God bless you and increase your understanding of the Bible, as it can and does relate to the deepest secrets of the heart, whether an adult's or a child's or both. If the Bible, the truth of the eternal Word of God, cannot penetrate to the deepest corners of our psyches and heal us--what sort of truth would that be? It would be so limited and incomplete that we would be thrown almost completely on man's finite understanding in the fields of psychiatry and psychology and even soothsaying and psychic mediums (God forbid!). But the truths of the Bible, allied to God's powerful healing touch via the Holy Spirit, are altogether, and absolutely, sufficient for us. God and His Word possess everything we need. Everything is not much, or a lot, or a great deal...no, it is everything. God and His eternal Word contain everything necessary for our lives here and in eternity.

Yeshua, Jesus, is still the Great Physician of the human soul and spirit. He alone can diagnose the true cause of a malady hidden far from human sight and even human knowledge, and also prescribe and deliver the cure for it, restoring the wholeness to the suffering individual that no doctor, no psychiatrist, or high-priced psychologist, could possibly produce.

People are often mistakenly yet unintentionally cruel and insensitive to suffering individuals, precisely because they see in the natural and do not see as the Bible and the Lord God see--which is spiritual sight, somewhat analogous to having X-ray vision. Operating from another dimension, the heavenly, They only can penetrate and see all the way through the exterior skin, bone, and cartilege and intricacies of the human soul and heart to the real cause of the person's problem, even problems that the person has no knowledge of.

Isn't that a wonderful God and a wonderful Bible? They're still available to us! Without them, Ronald would never be where he is today--liberated, healed, and now launched on a new ministry to the deeply sick and hurting, wounded by things in the past over which the children they once were could have no possible control or means to correct and heal.

He has been released from a worse bond too, that of denial. Alcoholics, guzzling booze like road hog cars for decades, are known to deny they are even alcoholics (actually, they have an underlying cause, which is sin, or a strong-hold of the enemy, or both oftentimes). Unlike alcoholics, Ronald never was very strong on denial, as the rest of this family still is. They refused a long time ago to even speak about the loss everyone suffered when they lost their daddy in the plane crash whenh he was five years old. But Ronald was always open for healing and wanted it. He was the least affected, being the youngest boy, and, therefore, the most likely to emerge first like a butterfly from deep, dark captivity to the pain and ignorance and unforgiveness that naturally clung to the loss of his daddy. His older siblings managed it, or so they thought, and to this day do not have scarcely a clew that the opposite is true, that it, the loss, has managed them. They need to reverse that, or the rest of their adult lives will be devoured by something that can only be dealt with by a true Divine Inner Healing. It is a fact that wounded individuals, if the wound is not taken care of soon, will in later life cling to the pain, or the underlying cause of it, since it is all they have known, and to uncover the pain would inflict more pain, this time conscious pain--and they are content to live numbed, semi-conscious lives--acting out a charade of what adult life is supposed to be. They can even become successful professionals and carry on long-term marriages, and produce families, but underlying it is an entirely different reality that was produced by lifelong denial--and really then, nothing that has been created over the wound is truly real. It is all a sort of husk or chrysalis covering up a worm-like, voiceless, hurting, inchoate creature that is not a true human being. Only Christ can liberate that creature and re-fashion it into a genuine human being by His divine love and wisdom and power.

There is no substitute. Grief therapy and grief management come too late. It cannot reach the inner child as effectively and perfectly as only God can reach him, to set him absolutely, gloriously free from all his boyhood bewilderment, pain, and unforgiveness of the missing father. God made each of us, so He knows best how to heal each of us. The others, including doctors and the great hospital research teams you can point to at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota or the University of Washington, are only guessing with a certain amount of probability, in comparison to God who is always, always, precisely on target--Ed.

Since the above note was entered, Ronald Ginther has recalled an incident that occurred around 1977-78, when he was enrolled at Peoples Bible Institute, Tacoma, Washington, an incident of ministry at a local (Washington) Assembly of God church's youth meeting which helped ignite a revival in which many of the youth were saved. This indicates clearly that the DIHM ministry was already given him at that time, though he did not realize it. Gifts of the Holy Spirit are actually given each believer when he or she is born-again. There is no reason not to believe Ronald was given the DIHM at that time. This incident will be related int he article describing exactly how his divine inner healing took place. Please return for it soon.--Ed.

Part I, as given, is not yet complete in detail. Please return to it later. In the meantime, you may go to Part II, which will relate the most recent developments of this newborn ministry of God's healing power of the inner man, inner woman, and inner child. Use the link here provided:

Ethel Waters, a Broadway actress and film star and singer, returned to her faith in Christ after a long, successful career and attended Billy Graham evangelistic meetings until her death. She often sang at the meetings. These meetings, which have her singing, have appeared recently on TBN. Her personality comes across just as vibrant as it was then, captivating the audience. Her book is also worth a review here on The Emmaus Walk, called "To Me It's Wonderful," which Pearl Ginther (Ronald Ginther's mother) bought at a Billy Graham meeting in Tacoma over twenty years ago from Miss Waters, who signed the title page, "In His Precious Love, Ethel Waters." She knew the precious love (and forgiveness) of Jesus! It meant more to her than all her fame and success, as her book testifies.

The Emmaus Walk founder's mother, Mrs. Pearl Ginther, is now 96. She is still going strong, particularly in the spiritual sense. Mrs. Pearl Ginther's Scripture Garden will give you a refreshing break from your studies:

Here is a new feature that will give you an update on the amazing Mary-Constance who has gone to share Jesus and His love in Mexico without the help normally given missionaries.

Since the letter was offered, Mary-Constance has returned to the states due to cancer. She is in excellent spirits, and God will use her here despite this added handicap. She has no fear of the disease and is a nurse. Please pray for her healing! We will continue to run her letter from Mexico, as that is where her heart truly is.

I did not know what Sister Minnie Kemery, lifetime woman of prayer and missionary to the Arabs in Tunisia and the Left Bank intended at the time, but later she sent me a card that Eben has used as inspiration for picturing the fulfillment of Exekiel 47. Please read the passage, where it deals with the river that will flow from the Temple in Jerusalem and note how it sweetens not only the Jordan but the Dead Sea (which is a sea of bitter salt, the salt being unforgiveness and distrust and hatred between the sons of Abraham, the Jews and the Arabs.

Yes, there can be fervent love and friendship between Arabs and Jews, who are both beloved children of Abraham! There has now come to the Islamic public a true version of the Quran (Koran), which can be read by all Islamic people with profit. It is in English and Arabic and is called "The True Furqan." For more information you can contact Omega 2001, P.O. Box 293627, Sacramento, CA 95829.

To Abraham God said: "And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing."--Genesis 12:2. This blessing holds for descendants of both his sons Isaac and Ishmael

John 3:16 in Arabic:

The following cartoons will illustrate the fact that God's grace is not dependent on man's righteousness, and is sufficient despite man's unrighteousness! Thank God, that we cannot and do not merit God's grace--it. is God's free gift, which we cannot earn, since Christ's own utterly innocent blood and perfectly righteous life paid for it. As utter bankrupts, we are offered this wondrous grace and the salvation God has for us when we believe on His Son and ask forgiveness for all our sins.

What is the cost of sin? The Bible says it is death, both physical and eternal. We see the pain and blindness that followed the sin of Samson, which provoked magnificent works of literature and poetry, including Milton's "Samson Agonistes" and a number of Hollywood films. There was nothing poetic or inspiring about his suffering, however, unless it resulted in repentance and a humble spirit.

We know there is an eventual terrible cost to sin, however pleasurable it may be at the beginning. But what is the cost of faithful discipleship? For the Apostles, it was death, almost always violent (except for John who was "merely" boiled in oil and when he did not die he was imprisoned on the island of Patmos). We are told in scripture that if we are faithful to the Lord, we will suffer. Every saint of God has suffered. How can we be the exception? Samson, however, brought most of his suffering on himself, not by God's will for him. Fortunately, there is reason to think things turned out all right for him in the end, despite his violent death by his own act. Please use the link to find out how that could be.
