Friend, are you unable to read the Bible, that is, make sense of it? Or do some parts make sense, but others seem totally bewildering? Are you desiring to go deeper, or reach a higher ground, spiritually, but your difficulty in comprehending scripture is holding you back? It may well be you need to consider that the Bible is essentially Messianic--that is, it exists to tell you about the Messiah and Savior, and virtually everything in the Bible points to Him. With this understanding, you are on your way to unlocking the scriptures and opening the door to Yeshua--for they are, in truth, a living Person, Jesus (Yeshua), who delights in His Name, the Word (John 1:1: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
"My mother was a godly woman, and a great woman of faith as well as a prayer warrior. I first heard and understood the Gospel at age 12, while attending a little Southern Baptist Denomination church in the country. Later that day, I met God alone, right in the middle of a very large field. Right then and there, I prayed the Sinner's Prayer. The next Sunday, I publically gave my testimony. I was baptized and joined the church soon thereafter. In my early teens, I moved in with my brother's family in Tacoma. I received the Spirit Baptism while attending a youth group at People's Church in Tacoma, a large non-denominational fellowship of believers. At age 18, I enlisted in the Navy during the late Vietnam Era. It was at that time I began to rebel against God and run from Him. My rebellion continued after I was honorably discharged. Finally, it led me to a point of brokenness, a state of complete, incomprehensible demoralization, a point of total despair. It was a major turning point in my life. I cried out to God, and God heard me. It was then I realized that Jesus was not only my Savior, but truly my Lord. After that experience, I dedicated myself to the Lord's service, and received the call to the ministry. I devoted myself to the study of God's Word. I completed my high school education at Tacoma Community College, and received five college credits in sociology. Later, I successfully completed occupational training at Clover Park Vocational Technical Institute for Vocational Rehabilitation Facility Supervisor, where I studied and applied psychology every day. I first met my fellow colleague and editor, Brother Ron Ginther at Bible college. That experience was a vital step in preparing me for the ministry. I have been faithfully conducting Bible study in my home for years. Now, because of a fresh anointing from the Lord, the whole direction of my ministry has changed. Now it's more of a Bible fellowship (prayer, praise, worship, study, and fellowship). I always try to present a biblically balanced view. I have to be faithful to what I believe the Bible teaches. As a minister of the Gospel, I know I must one day stand before the judgment seat of Christ and be held accountable for everything I do and say in the Name of the Lord. It is my hope and prayer that I might be used by the Lord, to help bring health and healing to the Body of Christ; the ENTIRE Body of Christ. There has been deep hurt, pain, bitterness, and suffering in the Body for entirely too long. Lord, please heal your Church. Amen." [Note: Duane L. Smith's prophetic prayer has been answered! See "The Divine Inner Healing Ministry, Parts I and II," given on this page (Part I) and on a linked page (Part II). This is a stupendous event, the birthing of a new world-wide ministry, all because of Duane L. Smith's obedience to God, his calling by God, and his anointed prayer, which he did not live to see answered, as it was just shortly after his homegoing.--Ronald D. Ginther, Editor and Founder of the Emmaus Walk].
The wrapping in which the fish comes is not the fish. We see this in the story by an AP Science Writer, "Fossil Fish Sheds Light on Transition." Mr. Malcom Ritter may not have concocted the title, but it is entirely misleading. The purported "fossil fish" does not shed light on transition, for there is no transition to shed light on in the first place. This "fish" is supposed to be 375 million years old, or thereabouts. It is supposed to show evidence of rudimentary bones of a arm from the shoulder to the wrist area, and looked like "a scale covered arm." This armed fish was supposed to look like a cross between a fish and a crocodile. It is supposed to be one of the first creatures to crawl up out of the sea and begin a life on land. Ergo: proof of "transition," that is, proof of the Theory of Evolution. Not so! The whole article is sheer, shameless speculation. Scientists are said to know, when they don't know. The words give away the mad, speculative "science" at work here. "May," "might," "correspond," "probably had, and so on, underscore the speculation going on. "Correspond," particularly, is a weasel word. You can correspond all you like to something, such as a person dressing and speaking and eating like a Chinese, but that will never make you Chinese if you weren't first born Chinese! The article really gives away the cat in the bag with the admission, ""It's impossible to tell if Tiktaalik [the Inuit word taken to misapply to the land- lubbing fish) was a direct ancestor of land vertebrates," Jennifer Clack of Cambridge University, "an expert" unnconnected with the study states. What? Perhaps the title was a bit hasty? Where is the traditional skepticism of genuine scientific inquiry? Where modern theorizing on evolution is concerned, it seems to have flown on corresponding bird-like wings out the window of reality!--Ed.
"Scientist: Jesus May Have Walked On Ice," by Bill Kaczor, Associated Press Writer," really belongs to the National Inquirer, along with the Fossil Fish-Crocodile article. Doron Nof, a professor of oceanography at Florida State University, is cited, saying that a "rare combination of water and atmospheric conditions in the Sea of Galilee 2000 years ago may offer a scientific explanation for one of the miracles recounted in the Bible." Doesn't this "scientist" have something better to do than dredge up such nonsense? Simple common sense is lacking throughout this whole article and its thesis. How could any man keep his footing on a piece of ice in a stormy sea and make it safely to a boat that is also in big trouble in the same storm? Impossible. That would be a bigger miracle than simply walking on water! Let the scientist explain that miracle! Was Peter also able to find a piece of ice (though this a rare occurence, the scientist avers) that was big enough to support a fisherman's substantial body, and not only that, was he able to keep his footing as he proceeded toward Jesus who was approaching on His ice floe? Two pieces of ice, moving towards each other--that is most strange coincidence, when you consider that in storms the wind currents move prevailingly in one direction or another. What probability was there (Doron should be able to figure out the probability, since he is a scientist) in the two ice floes coming together, or close enough after Peter began to sink, so that Jesus able to grab Peter and haul him up to safety and then conduct back to the boat? This article's reasoning is almost too hilarious to be true--Mr. Nof, in an interview after making his find public, attempts a lame, transparent diversion, to dissociate himself from any theological debate by claiming he is only a scientist dealing with natural processes, and so he isn't trying to say anything in the way of theology--really? If that were true, we would never have heard of Mr. Nof, the poor fellow. Now we know he exists on the planet (Florida, wouldn't you know?), and what a bumbling sort of scientist he is. This is the sort of thing that goes on today, in the name of science, sad to say, and influences millions of people in the wrong way, though they are usually children, who are not to likely to question, as adults would, what they hear from the media. His work only confirms the findings that show the catastrophic decline of IQ in the populations of Industrial Scoieties--a decline that has got to affect the scientific community, and, in Doron Nof's case, has landed him a job as professor at Florida State University. He must be a politically correct individual, to a wonderful degree; otherwise, there can be no explanation for his gaining employment where intellect of some degree is required. I hope you are laughing with me. We need to laugh! The absurdities of the secular humanist culture need to be laughed at for what they are and put in their place--the sooner the better, since the destinies of an entire generation are being adversely affected by such incompetent pedagogues and wannabe theologians as poor Mr. Nof.--Ed.
Ronald Ginther is now the first to be healed in his family of eight grown children who lost their father in 1947 (suddenly in a plane crash) but never dealt with it properly, so that each individual carried, as it happened, a grieving child hidden and unrecognized inside. Thanks to God's healing touch alone, Ronald's five year old child was released, and this "inner child" carried on the conversation with his daddy in heaven, and in the process the adult Ronald received healing and release. It was a sheer, unexpected act of God, all the more wonderful because it is real, real, real. It would be interesting to know if other families, having experienced the loss of loved ones, have experienced what his family suffered all these decades since 1947.
The imprisonment of the pain, bewilderment, and sometimes unforgiveness of the missing father by the uncomprehending inner child, which never grows up but continues to grieve uncomprehendingly, is a terrible captivity that only God can break the person free of, is an account that should ring bells (or raise little red flags) with others. No man is an island, the great English metaphysical poet John Donne said. Surely, someone else on this wide earth has undergone the same thing to some degree! Yet God can, as Isaiah proclaimed and Christ read to his fellow Nazarenes, liberate the captive, as Ronald, a long-time captive of a grieving inner boy, can now testify. This article will be called, "Free At Last: My Divine, Inner Healing," by Ronald Ginther. This is not about grief therapy or grief management, it must be repeated to make absolutely clear. It is a God-originated DIVINE MIRACLE of grace and healing that came from heaven, not from earth or in anything a person could possibly do or pull off to bring about so-called "closure" after a death. This may sound strange, and you may not have read of a case of this anywhere. That is likely. Neither has Ronald and his mother, as they observed in converation about it. But that doesn't invalidate it, since God isn't known in the Bible to be much of a "copycat." He doesn't seem to have to repeat Himself very often, if He ever actually does. He is eternally creative and eternally sovereign and omnipotent, and can always do new things, which men could never do, even given all the technological and physical resourses (along with all the computers and science and accumulated knowledge) of the so called post-modern world.
Do you understand what is being said here, Emmaus Walk student and seeker of the truth of the Bible? Print it off rather than give somebody a half-understood, half-garbled account that may mislead unintentionally. Better yet, wait for the article for all to be made clear, if this is not clear enough. No one need be hurt or misled by this introduction of the article. It is only to announce what is coming to this Bible school, since it seems the Lord is leading Ronald Ginther into an anointed ministry of this kind, and since he knows he is already anointed and equipped to begin one. It is now only a matter of time and God's opening of doors to receptive hearts and thirsty souls who desire to be set free of things that are the same or similar to what held Ronald and his siblings captive in bonds (and grief in children can be a very hard bond to get rid of, once it settles down into a child's heart and is buried there as the child grows up but doesn't ever effectively deal with--right? In this respect, please read Psalm 116:16. The Lord gave this verse to Ronald shortly after the Divine Inner Healing.
Surely, you get the very apt, timely Biblical point of this now, what is being dealt with, and so it should not seem so alien and strange as it may have first appeared at the start of the note. God bless you and increase your understanding of the Bible, as it can and does relate to the deepest secrets of the heart, whether an adult's or a child's or both. If the Bible, the truth of the eternal Word of God, cannot penetrate to the deepest corners of our psyches and heal us--what sort of truth would that be? It would be so limited and incomplete that we would be thrown almost completely on man's finite understanding in the fields of psychiatry and psychology and even soothsaying and psychic mediums (God forbid!). But the truths of the Bible, allied to God's powerful healing touch via the Holy Spirit, are altogether, and absolutely, sufficient for us. God and His Word possess everything we need. Everything is not much, or a lot, or a great deal...no, it is everything. God and His eternal Word contain everything necessary for our lives here and in eternity.
Yeshua, Jesus, is still the Great Physician of the human soul and spirit. He alone can diagnose the true cause of a malady hidden far from human sight and even human knowledge, and also prescribe and deliver the cure for it, restoring the wholeness to the suffering individual that no doctor, no psychiatrist, or high-priced psychologist, could possibly produce.
People are often mistakenly yet unintentionally cruel and insensitive to suffering individuals, precisely because they see in the natural and do not see as the Bible and the Lord God see--which is spiritual sight, somewhat analogous to having X-ray vision. Operating from another dimension, the heavenly, They only can penetrate and see all the way through the exterior skin, bone, and cartilege and intricacies of the human soul and heart to the real cause of the person's problem, even problems that the person has no knowledge of.
Isn't that a wonderful God and a wonderful Bible? They're still available to us! Without them, Ronald would never be where he is today--liberated, healed, and now launched on a new ministry to the deeply sick and hurting, wounded by things in the past over which the children they once were could have no possible control or means to correct and heal.
He has been released from a worse bond too, that of denial. Alcoholics, guzzling booze like road hog cars for decades, are known to deny they are even alcoholics (actually, they have an underlying cause, which is sin, or a strong-hold of the enemy, or both oftentimes). Unlike alcoholics, Ronald never was very strong on denial, as the rest of this family still is. They refused a long time ago to even speak about the loss everyone suffered when they lost their daddy in the plane crash whenh he was five years old. But Ronald was always open for healing and wanted it. He was the least affected, being the youngest boy, and, therefore, the most likely to emerge first like a butterfly from deep, dark captivity to the pain and ignorance and unforgiveness that naturally clung to the loss of his daddy. His older siblings managed it, or so they thought, and to this day do not have scarcely a clew that the opposite is true, that it, the loss, has managed them. They need to reverse that, or the rest of their adult lives will be devoured by something that can only be dealt with by a true Divine Inner Healing. It is a fact that wounded individuals, if the wound is not taken care of soon, will in later life cling to the pain, or the underlying cause of it, since it is all they have known, and to uncover the pain would inflict more pain, this time conscious pain--and they are content to live numbed, semi-conscious lives--acting out a charade of what adult life is supposed to be. They can even become successful professionals and carry on long-term marriages, and produce families, but underlying it is an entirely different reality that was produced by lifelong denial--and really then, nothing that has been created over the wound is truly real. It is all a sort of husk or chrysalis covering up a worm-like, voiceless, hurting, inchoate creature that is not a true human being. Only Christ can liberate that creature and re-fashion it into a genuine human being by His divine love and wisdom and power.
There is no substitute. Grief therapy and grief management come too late. It cannot reach the inner child as effectively and perfectly as only God can reach him, to set him absolutely, gloriously free from all his boyhood bewilderment, pain, and unforgiveness of the missing father. God made each of us, so He knows best how to heal each of us. The others, including doctors and the great hospital research teams you can point to at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota or the University of Washington, are only guessing with a certain amount of probability, in comparison to God who is always, always, precisely on target--Ed.
