The bottom line for all God's Promises: "Seek you first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you."--Surely the truth of this verse is the foundation for all the twenty-seven promises above! If we first seek His kingdom and His righteousness, he will hear and answer us, for we are then praying according to His will. Therefore, it only follows that if we do not seek His kingdom and His righteousness first, we will not be praying according to His will, and he will not hear or answer us, for we are asking according to our own will and lusts and desires, not in accordance with God's will, God's kingdom and God's righteousness. The Bible makes it very plain and simple for us to understand God's principles by which we can, as His children, be taught, corrected, blessed and fulfilled.--Ed.
